| Quote: Early Bath "Bubba has a point here. In effect BB have spent fully on the Cap and have gone belly up. So in simple terms they have picked the best possible set of players and still gone bust. Other clubs have therefore every right to feel miffed if the Bulls reach the play offs'"
I dont think that makes a whole load of sense. The Bulls have earned their points in the league so far by their playing results. The salary cap is progressive, so they have not spent any more than other clubs could have done upto this time.
Personally I have more doubts about finishing the season and even more about being in existence next year. Whether we are docked points, and how many, is immaterial. It does not matter if we are in the playoffs or not as this is not our priority.
Survival is the be all and all.

I was down at Leyton Orient this time and talking to fans it did appear that their main concern was they had a coach of little experience and talent and no respect from the senior players.
They were mystified why he was appointed given that they believed the club had spent near the salary cap on players.
A you say the owner seems not interested.

Tbh wouldn't be surprised to see elima turn out for catalans tomorrow. Rumoured to be going there next year anyway so wouldn't be a shockbif we've let him go with immediate effect for a nominal tfer fee. Gets one of higher wage earners off the books in a position we have cover for.

| Elima was a late withdrawal due to a shoulder injury.
The weeks rest should be sufficient.

Would be absolutely ludicrous to let Elima go with the run in still to come, we need as many fit, aggressive workhouse forwards as we can muster at this stage and letting just about our best backrower go would be daft. Could be the difference between prize money and no prize money.

It would. Almost as ludicrous as sacking the entire coaching team. Oh hang on...

From a playing point of view totally agree with you. But we have a guy more interested in financial aspects in charge at the moment.

| Quote: napps "What a lot of rot!!.The players have done all the hard work on the pitch and have no control on what happens off. If they make the playoffs, then they deserve to be there.'"
Why is it rot? It could be argued that some of those players would not be there if you had spent within your means and paid your taxes like other clubs have done.
Salford for example probably don't spend up to the cap(?) but manage to pay their taxes. What would it be like if they said sod the HMRC, we'll have a few better players to guarantee a play off position?
