Ok, I am on for that. Do we get a rematch of the "invisible knock on" Grand Final and the "JVT" Grand Final too then? And we will redo Millennium Magic v Leeds as well then while we are at it. It's going to be a busy season...

Well, it will be for you. All we would need is a rematch of our match plus the Wigan derby at the DW (minus the forward pass try). That'd do us.

Ah, I see. So you are only on for selective re-matching?

| More ON TOPIC - why is it when Lynch took Gaskell out the penalty was not given where the offence occured but instead where the ball ended up ????
This in fairness maybe the rule, but for example when a player ie. Wilkin on Herbert, if this would of been a penalty it would of been where Herbert was taken out and not where the ball lands, i only use wilkin/herbert as an example BUT... where last shots occur in most games the penalty is where the kicker was ???
Im confused !!!

Are you sure he broke a rule? I don't think a ref can do that.

No, if a penalty had been given for the tackle on Herbert, it would have been taken from where the ball landed.

The rule is that on the sixth tackle the ball will be given to the other side. That isn't the wording of the rule, obviously, because it isn't technical enough. But the six tackle rule is a [irule[/i. By giving seven tackles, he broke a rule.
I wonder if there would be a legal case to challenge the validity of the match based upon that broken rule? Rhetorical question, obviously, but nontheless it would be interesting (in a low grade way) to find out whether there would be a case.

Like a previous post that would be like opening up a can of worms for every single game where the official has made a decisive error !!

I am sure only players can break the 6 tackle rule. Officials can cock up.
