| I thought it was another poor performance today. It was a case of who would come out on top out of two very poor sides today. What I would say is that Cas took their chances and fair play to them.
Too many lapses of concentration, needless knock ons and miss opportunities. We should have gone a couple of scores ahead in the 1st part of the 2nd half but we conceded too penalties and gave cheap yardage to the Cas pack.
After going ahead we should have been pumping the ball down into the Cas half and making them work. Instead we had handling errors and unnecessary penalties. We need to move on some dead wood like Worrincy and Koppy but we knew that already.
We should have had enough out there on the field to get a result today. Either the tactics were completely wrong or the players just aren't capable enough to follow the instructions sent out. I thought the decision not to use Addy was ridiculous given the heat out there. He'd have almost certainly contributed more to the side than that big lumbering guy wearing 16. Jeez I hope I don't have to support him in a Bulls shirt next year. I try to support each and every player out there but he really tests my patience! Clueless, but unfortunately he wasn't alone today.

Castleford Tigers 28-22 Bradford Bulls
Well done Castleford who deservedly took the two points despite playing with 12 men in the West Yorkshire heat and with that, they will make things very interesting at the bottom of the table as they narrow the gap to just one point on the 8th placed Bulls who today lacked any real concentration.
For me the gamebreaker was Godwin's dropped ball from the kick-off just after Kearney had put us 18-12 ahead, before the failed short kick-off which didn't pay off was the incident that put the nail and hammered the coffin shut.
Michael Shenton and Kirk Dixon were world class, who just about did a job on over shadowing a hard working Steve Menzies and Brett Kearney.
Plenty of 50/50 calls that both sides benefited from and despite at times the errors from both sides in the heat, it was a pulsating game from start to finish.

Pulsating? Low quality, scrappy and tight may be. I saw little from either side that got my pulse racing.

I don't know there was a few moments of skill, see Menzies and Kearney's tries and I thought Kirk Dixon despite having a few centimetres in height over Halley took his try well.
I would like to see the Chase try again on the replay.

Yes a couple of tries were good quality, however in the main it was well below the standard needed for a side who wants to win a game in the play offs.

I posting updates for the total rl lot so I had to make the game sound good
Which it was in parts but we were woeful at times and McNamara has to make the call to push and go for the play-offs or write the season off and blood the youngsters by giving them as much gametime as possible for next year because it's no good keeping Worrincy on the field knocking on every time he has the ball when you have a bench full of young players is: Addy who need game time.

| We played better with more youngsters against Warrington than we did today without them. Playing more youngsters doesn't necessarily write the season off. It might give some of our journeymen a kick up the backside.
Terrible tactics not using players, no excuses....

If I was McNamara I would tell Worrincy tomorrow "Season over" and I would play the youngsters.
the fight last week made me proud to be a Bull, at the moment Im feeling let down again.

Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah.
Don't you know that you are supposed to keep young players wrapped up in cotton wool until you have no other option but to play them?
Annnnd, I hope you are not refering to Glenn Hall has one of our journeymen, he's anything but. Don't you know he's had only a few good seasons in the nine years and 5 different clubs he has played at?

The game against Warrington we weren't expected to get a result. Today against Castleford we were. We just can't deal with any pressure.

But McNamara's signings were going to bring that "mental toughness" to the side.
