This, coming from the tightwad that wouldn't even put up his £20 to sponsor the Burgii, is rich.
Plus, we already KNOW you think McNamara is rubbish. It would save your keyboard and our screen pixels if you didn't bother repeating the same thing every time you post.
It isn't difficult to be positive. In fact, apart from you (and I grant you I can't speak for RER) I don't actually know a single person who isn't positive.

My apologies. I had a lot on and I completely forgot about it if the truth be told. Consider myself told off. However, what this has got to do with you, or the point I was making is beyond me.

| I think the point is we were all a bit disappointed after last season but some of choose to try to turn that and get involved with something positive, whether that be the sponsoring of the twins or the supporters trust. Constantly deriding the players, coach & club does nobody any good and unless we're prepared to do something to help try to change the situation then nobody benefits.
The season hasn't even started yet and your writing off certain players and the coach, i think with the recruitment made it's a little early to do that. Sure everybody at the club has got some thing to prove, none more so than McNamara. I'm not saying what happened was acceptable and I was one of the people who thought he should have been shown the door, but he's still here and whilst he is I'll give the team and the players my full support....I'm not going to go into the what happens if situations as I'm keeping positive.

Correct he was very good for us in 2006, his offload was devastating, hope he goes well for you guys, i think some of you are going to be pleasantly suprised.

good post there northern lad agree with pretty much all you said there.easy to tell youre not the prick who stood behind me and shouted to platty "will you be playing with these kids all year platty".i mean come on give the guy a break.all the he took last year(some of it warranted i grant you)but he worked damn hard in the reserves, won his place back for iirc the last 10 or so games and did imho bloody well at centre.so then we read in t&a about him having a really good pre season and raring to go next year.then yesterday he starts quite well makes our first break of the game by running a great line, shows good pace, draws full back, times inside pass to halley to perfection and pretty much does everything else in his reasonably long stint without any mistakes or "brainfarts" as some on here like to call them.yet still we get the aforementioned w**kers who spout that garbage.honestly mate whoever you are.why bother going.you do nothing of any use to the team or club at all

| The problem is that Platt could be SL player of the season in 2010, score 50 tries including winning hat-tricks in the Cup final and GF and you'd still get idiots bagging him. Yes, he's made some howlers in the past, but what's done is done. He lost his confidence and his place in the side. However, he's worked hard to get back into the first team and he's played well at centre. It would be better if the fans who boo him before he's even touched a ball actually watched the game and judged him for what he does now instead of what he's done in the past

| The Boo Boys seemed to want a scapegoat last year for all of the Bulls ills and Platt was the obvious target for them through a few horrendous errors in clear space at full back. Forgetting some less than lack lustre performances from other players who should have done better.
Whether those singular occassions of error by Platt were due to lack of confidence, ineptitude, poor option selection or whatever other perceived malady did not reflect in his overall application to the games.
Sure he needed work on his limitations and it seems he has had the bottle to do so off-season.
Yup, agree with Roodolfo, lets see him at centre with quality service from Orford and Kearney rather than always being on the back foot from the dire service of last season.

| We've always had scapegoats, regardless of the success of the side. If you don't like it, make sure to cheer for Platt (and Sheriffe, I suspect) extra loud when given the oppo.

| There's little to suggest with Sheriffe that he has and could improve.
Though he like any player who pulls on a Bulls shirt should be encouraged by the crowd.

| In order for someone to be made a scapegoat, there has to be a reason first. Platt was made a scapegoat because of some very poor performances. However as has been quite rightly said, he has done very well at centre, and the scapegoat status for mine should no longer be there. Sadly, there are always going to be those who will never ever forgive or forget.
The other two that are considered scapegoats in our side are Sheriffe and Worrincy. Unlike Platt, they have yet to do anything to help get rid of that status since their poor performances last year. Sheriffe even managed to look crap in the friendly, which really doesn't help things.
While a player should always get support from the fans while they wear the Bradford shirt (and they always will from me), it's understandable that some players are going to continue to be made scapegoats when they are doing nothing to help get rid of that image, by continuing with rubbish performances. In these cases, while they should get support while they are on the field, they should also be criticised for not being up to standard. Platt though has redeemed himself for mine and doesn't deserve the current amount of criticism he gets.
