I don't reckon Rikki did, straight away. I didn't notice Godwin.
By the way, where are my props for predicting
1. This season had one final kick in the balls in store for us.
2. That we would miss the play-offs by the point we dropped in the final second of the very first game.
Well? Derren Brown has nothing on me.

Didn't look like Langley and Godwin did. There was nothing shown on the screen from what I saw and I'd be surprised if they heard the announcement.

I agree to some degree as people but Hull started well and were at home.

| I thought you could tell Langley and Godwin didn't know the score cause both went from over excited to slow clapping and glum faces pretty quickly when the rest of the team came over.
Watch Menzies interview, you could tell he didn't know till Bill told him. It seemed that Bill assumed he knew as well. That's how i took it anyway.
I knew you couldn't rely on this St Helens team. Just not the same team of previous seasons and were without their only truly decent prop this season.
But give me OTT passion in a player any day of the week over some boring Newton type player who never really looked like he wanted to be a Bulls player but was a professional all the same.

I don't think they did. I don't think many of the players did by the way they came over first time, and then came over the second time looking more despondent.
I didn't hear any announcement. Was there one?

I think that was more to do with Hull starting very well, like they wanted to make a point, we didn't have much possession in the first 20. And I stand by the thought that that application and desire last night would have been enough in a few games this year to turn narrow losses into wins, (cas home and away, salford away, celtic home, quins home [icould [/ihave gone the other way with the effort and desire put in last night, that could have meant 10 more points) which would have seen us in the playoffs with room to spare, but its academic anyway now.

Was that the lad in the pink t-shirt? He was a Hull KR fan and got himself ejected...funny to watch though.

For me those games were the key. I would also add Hull KR and Wakey away as games that we should, rather than could, have won. But I dont put it down to lack of effort or desire. It seemed to me that the basic problem was that, although we were dominating games, we tended to cave in when the opposition had the inevitable good spell. The games at Salford & HKR were prime examples of where we seemed to lose all self belief once the opposition scored.

I agree about losing the self belief at times this year but I also think that in some matches we lacked the amount of desire and effort to win that we have shown recently.

No, he was to my left. This young lad was at the front....with his elderly relative (no offence)

It seems that this is just the norm at Hull. Every time I go, and last night was no exception, you see numerous idiots in chav corner pointing to people and offering them outside. And every single time, the stewards just stand there and watch them. At any other ground, that would get you thrown out for threatening behaviour, but it just seems like Hull are fine with it.

Certainly does nothing to enhance the reputation of the Hull club. Nothing changes each year so it seems the management are happy to let this continue.

Dunno who you are mate, but come home safe and in one piece.
The funniest bit was at the end when the Bulls players thought they had made the play offs!

Hull don't control or pay for the stewarding, that's all run by the stadium management. And if all they're doing is standing up and being chavs surely you can jut ignore them and watch the game? the less attention they get the less they do it.
