Give him a week to at least do some training and learn some of our plays. Wouldnt hurt to give him a chance to acclimatise to the slightly different weather conditions either

I would imagine that he'd go straight into the squad. however, if he's got his visa and everything but gets here less than 48 hours before kick-off then I'd think give him till the following week so he's got time to adjust to his new surroundings and meet his teams as well as get a proper training season with the team under his belt before throwing him in the deep end
