Could it not be a case of them telling people he's got a number before he's fully registered?
Like Wigan with their loyal supporter number or whatever it is, they obviously aren't registered as a real squad number but its up on their website.

| Wow. Well after viewing that I have changed my mind.
1. Too many dropped ball from Bradford.
2. Too much falling off the tackle.
3. Some of the 3/4 line not sticking with their man.
4. Need to run harder.
5. Kearney and Kear both poor in the highlights, HOWEVER it was their first 'Real Game' against Super League sides.
6. The Kit Clash, although I did post my thoughts before.
These are the negatives. I do take into account that this will not be our starting 13 against Catalans. Even just the inclusion of L'Estrange can make a big difference to our side.
1. Crookes is friggin fast. Nearly caught Briscoe, if he could have just rolled him into touch or kept hold of him, good effort though. And he outpaced most of the Hull team when getting his 90m try even though he looked like he was hobbling. And not many people outpace Briscoe even on the other side of the pitch.
2. Purtell looked like he wanted it. Looked like he was up for it. From the highlights most of the tries wern't actually his fault. As a sliding defence it is the inside man who needs to be aware and for the first try Kear had gone across to cover Briscoe and Kearney went across to cover Briscoe which he shouldn't have. He should have stuck with Yeaman alongside Purtell then go across if he needed to. Stupid mistake from Bateman, but maybe we shouldn't have tried throwing the ball about in our own 20?
3. Couldn't do much about McKinnon's first try. Class kick from Seymour and only Diskin saw it coming but he was too late. Kearney should have maybe done better in the tackle but it is hard to tackle someone like that when he's stepping back inside you near the line.
4. Kearney dropping it resulted in a try. No-one reacted, O'Brien stood there with his back turned. Players need to be more alert.
5. Class line running from Yeaman for his 2nd try. Unstoppable. Joseph should have tried banging him though, he should have seen him round the back.
6. Kearney should have knocked it dead for Yeaman's 3rd try. No excuse for that.
7. Sammut should have tackled Horne at the left hand side of the pitch. Walker should have tackled the guy who offloaded. Crookes tried his best to stop the pass and the man but should have focused on the man. Poor defence.
8. McKinnon's 2nd try could have been prevented. Kearney should have taken the support runner while Kear had the winger. This try was very much like the one Wigan scored against us last year in the cup when Jeffries tackled Carmont/Charnley and Royston failed to pick up Richards on the inside. However McKinnon should have been tackled by the bearded guy and Purtell should have gone for him, however Purtell went to pick up the other support runner which was the correct decision.
9. Briscoe's try was a result of us not defended man to man, they had a 2 man overlap and Kear did extremely well to tackle Yeaman although Hargreaves should have had Briscoe but he over-run. What a take from Briscoe and practically impossible to stop when unopposed. Crookes did extremeley well, should of tackled him but this happens.
10. Last try there was too many of us just watched the ball instead of attempting to dive on it.
Again though this is not the first choice 13 whereas Hull's practically was minus Lynch and Heremaia. And well done Gentle for recruiting Seymour and McKinnon. Absolute class on their day. Looking forward to watching Hull on Sky and will no doubt make the top 8.

| Kearney at fault for four of the first five tries. He tracks too far across for the first, is nowhere near his own posts for the second and drops the ball for the fourth. Is it the 5th where he shoulkd
Purtell shouldn't be run around for the first try but I'm sure he'll sharpen up.
Great pace for Crookes try. He pulls away from Sharpe and Briscoe can't catch him. He's a tad unlucky with the Briscoe tackle.

| I fear for Bradford again this season, I think you will be in a battle for 8th spot with many teams.

To be honest I think 80% of the people on here knew that already.

Most of the Bulls fans I know were saying top 6 is very much achievable.

TBF I think the majority of Bulls fans would take getting 8th and a play off spot. It's an improvement on previous years.
But as I said yesterday, don't read too much into trials. Obviously it's always disappointing to see your team lose like that as a fan of a club but the Bulls will be better come next week. They are down a few forwards too and Elima and Kopczak will add a hell of a lot to the team when they come back. It will help them when they have a set half back partnership in training for a full week also. All the changing they have done in preseason won't have helped things from a cohesive POV.

I had me earphones in so could hear quite a bit. The camera was only about 6ft away from us to be fair and that piece of skill did make me forget how cold it was for a few seconds

Yeah, i like Elima a lot. He was immense when he played for us a few years back, I can see how he would be missed.

I never realised how good he was until I started watching him in more detail last season. He gets through a lot of work both defensively and in attack and is one hell of a footballer. Whenever I saw the Bulls last year he always came out as one of the top performers and never seemed to give less than 100%, even in sometimes badly beaten teams.
