| I strikes me sometimes, likes Bullseye says, there are people who take almost a twisted pride in slating us when we lose. But when we win, these people never post. I find that bizarre.

| Quote: Agent Mulder "How you can say the ref was biased towards Saints I don't know. He was the same for both sides. The blatent knock on by Bradford in the 2nd half on the halfway line in front of the North stand was unbelievable. .'"
Because he awarded you two tries that were quite clearly not tries? Even the most one eyed among you saw that.
But yes he missed lots of knock ons it is true. The Saints one, which went 5 or 6 metres forward was a particular beauty. That was in front of the North Stand too, did you see that one as well?

Did you have fun swearing at the linesman.

| Should also be pointed out that we end the weekend still in the top 8. The 3 remaining fixtures involve teams who are already above us against teams who don't have a points total near enough to ours to affect our standing.

| On the one hand I agree that we're nothing to get excited about at the minute but I really think people are not appreciating the degree of shambles Mick potter inherited. Post-Orford we were the worst team in the league. The 'legacy of youth' left by SM has been hugely over-hyped in order to divert attention from a total fiasco. He's had to sign 2 inexperienced halves and hasn't been able to play them together yet as well as bed in a host of new players alongside inexperienced kids. Referring to players as 'gash' and 'pants' after 2 or 3 games is just immature.

And one of your tries was from a forward pass. Hey-ho. So was one of ours. Saw it on the review prior to the Hudds-KR match (I sit behind the sticks at the Hobart so it's nigh on impossible for us to spot a forward pass by anyone, much like the touch judges and refs really)
We were down to 11 men at one time. But obviously the ref was biased towards us!
Silliness.
You lost a game in which we played better than you did.

Agree absolutely. The difference between the two sides was your finshing, we lacked inspiration and fire power on attack. You were far more clinical. If you read my posts after the game. I actually came out none too disappointed. We normally get a tonking so a 12 point loss is virtually a win!
Especially seen as the ref gave you those 12 points...

Indeed, the referee was poor for both sides. I thought we got some calls in the 1st half (the forward pass try) and a couple of others. Not sure why Sykes was sin binned either. But in the 2nd half we got nothing from the referee. He sin binned Soliola and Shenton for nothing and Ah Van's try was a mile forward.
Swings and roundabouts, but Saints deserved the comfortable win.

This.
Ah that is ok then. You can make up a right load of toilet as long as you clap the team off.
P!sh of the highest order.
FWIW, I am not worried in the slightest. We have had a tough start but have beaten the sides we need to be beating. Life is good.

The fact I had a little tirade at the linesman had nothing to do with the argument I was posing, and RER used it as a sidetrack or some sort of blatant jibe at me. I don't condone swearing at officials, or swearing at the game in general, you'll rarely see me doing it. It was a red mist moment after a series of calls I felt we'd been hard done by, taking a step back I clearly regret it. Likewise, my little jest back at RER was saying I took pride in appreciating a good performance from the team. So now we've cleared up my counselling for that, let's get back to what's more important, the team.
The simple fact is, people seem too keen to come on here and have a go at players/coaches etc when it isn't going well. But they're not as keen to come on and be happy to revel in a hard fought victory, or a performance that deserves commending, simply because it's tenfold better than the p!sh (to quote your good self) we've been served up over the last two/three years. You're one of the rarities ME, you used to annoy me no end with the McNamara out campaign regardless of performance, but you've come on here this year and it's been refreshing to see a poster with common sense, but there are others that just don't seem keen on giving the team any credit.
We've beaten the teams we should be beating (the Crusaders/Wakey of this world), beating Cas was a nice bonus because they were unbeaten, although we fully deserved it IMO. And we've lost to the teams I would have expected us to lose to, justifying us as a 6th place side at best. We have winnable games coming up, setting us up nicely for the rest of the season.
