Clearly you didn't watch Pryce play very often in 2010 then.

Enough to form my own opinion, thanks.
I expect you're one of these half-wits that thinks Cunningham was better than Lowes. May I suggest that was because you didn't see Lowes play enough?

I must be an half wit then cause Cunningham was better than Lowes.
Not being disrespectful to Lowes as he was a great player but not in the same league as KC.

| All things considered I'd pick Pryce if I was given the choice. He'd shift another bucket load of membership cards in my opinion. I'd be very happy to have Bosc at the club though.

Leon is the man to take a team from third to first.
We need a man to take us to third.

Even halfwits can do that.

I don't have an opinion on that. But what I do know from your own post is that you think Bosc has 'control, passing, kicking, speed, the lot' but Pryce does not. However, Pryce had all those things in 2010. Therefore, whether you have an opinion or not is irrelevant because it is misinformed.
However, you do please continue to think that Pryce is not as good as Bosc and leave Pryce to us. Splendid. Like that idea!

| I think we have to concede that BOTH JL & KC were great players in their own right - I couldn't separate them speaking as a Saints fan !
regarding Thomas Bosc,as a regular visitor to Perpignan for the Catalan games Thomas Bosc is an excellent player WHEN FIT - he has dodgy ankles which has made him miss much of the past season (just one of the factors the team finished at the foot of the league) and when he did play (always with injections) some of the games he still wasn't able to do the kicking due to the risk of further damage to his ankles (his words, not mine).Bobby Goulding has publicly warned him of the dangers of injections/playing when not completely fit etc etc
For me it would be too much of a risk to sign such a talented player but who carries a big potential injury problem. The Bulls could be signing a probable 'sick-note' which would lead to another Matt Orford situation.aying that,I feel the new Dragons coach Trent Robinson wouldn't be to saddened if he left the club...

maybe, but we need to take gamble on someone and Pryce falls into exactly the same category of signing with his neck injury. in those terms bosc is less of a risk as he wouldnt command as large a portion of salary cap allowing us to sign cover for any injuries as well.

Thanks for that - very interesting. (By the way, I wasn't trying to bring up a JL/KC argument - we'll all have our opinions on that and they're unlikely to change. I was just trying to make a point to the Saints fan).

Don't think I can agree there. They are different players and both are quality in their own right, Bosc though would add the ability to kick goals, I've not checked the stats but I'd think he's good bit more reliable than Sykesy. Which of the two (Bosc and Pryce) would be most effective in our side would depend to some extent on who is scrum half. Ideally, I wouldn't want to choose stand off until that's sorted, though it is getting a bit late now for hanging round.

| we can (and do,cos' it's part of the fun) make comparisons with the modern day players and those of yesteryear - ie we can compare Greaves to Lineker or Botham to Flintoff etc etc but what actually counts is what's happening at this moment
If fit TB would be a great acquisition to any SL team, but he's not fully fit and hasn't been all season, even when he's played - As I have already said,he DOES have constant ankle trouble which prevents him kicking in games which has been one of his great attributes. He's one of the gentlemen of the game but I fear we have seen the best of him even at his tender age of 27 - I would love to be proved wrong...

| I'd take Pryce over Bosc anyday. The way Pryce played this year was phenominal at times. Although if we signed Pryce for 6 and Bosc for 7, then it would be happy days.

just a thought but could his ankle problems be being aggravated by playing in the south of france every other week?. Generally better weather and earlier than we get it over here meaning they have a harder pitch for more off the year. maybe playing on generally softer pitches we have for longer part of season would be beneficial?.
All swings and roundabouts really as last info I got was that we havent talked to catalans or bosc.

Playing on softer ground is worse than playing on hard ground.
