And they have now corrected the spelling errors. Although I admit, it's going to take some doing to beat listing Oscar Thomas as "Half-Black" as they did a week or two ago.

| The only positive coming from that announcement was the nice memory of the WCC win over West Tigers which emanated when I saw the picture. How good was Fielden that night! Unplayable.

| His last really good game for us as I remember.
I remember years before reading Mal Reilly's autobiography where he talks about Fielden and the way he played the game and worried his career may be short lived.
While Stu had a decently long career he was certainly far less effective from the age of 28/29, when you'd expect him to be getting even better. I wonder if that was to do with the amount of punishment he took as a you lad?

| I thought there was going to be a let down announcement i.e the Fielden one, followed by a positive one, I.e signing or VISA news..
No such luck!
The new media / marketing guy wants sacking for A) leaving everyone with a deflated feeling when there was no need, B) writing such poorly worded posts..

Absolutely right I'd say. Never hit the heights at Wigan that he did with Bradford. Always hear people putting it down to the Mason incident and him "losing his bottle" but that's just a co-incidence in my eyes that the effect that you describe started to happen around the time of that incident.
Although I was gutted when he left I'd have sooner seen him continue to be one of the best props in the world than deteriorating like he did; wherever he was playing.

| Yes it could be improved, but the first line of text is the message: Dewsbury is a "4 pointer" so the 18th man is important. So though I manage very few games, I will be going to this one, so message read and understood, especially who it was aimed at, which is me rather than the regular attenders making up most of the posters on this thread. So do any of you know any irregulars like me that you can persuade to come along?

| Very frustrating to feel left in the dark regarding progress IF ANY being made by the Owners.New as a club we may be, but we deserve more info than has been fed us so far.We can hardly support words of request when intent to grow the 'brand' seems non existent. We urgently need to hear a solid dose of positive intent because hanging in there is becoming tedious.I appreciate the steady approach of our rebuild, but there are too many things uncompleted and I was expecting a sharper more professional delivery.Time may not be the enemy ,but significant signatures on dotted lines may be as this drags on.

| I call this "Pettit's law of fan disenchantment", which is essentially the act of dumbfounding a club's fanbase. Only difference is that Pettit did it by announcing announcements that something will be announced on a specific date only to realise that the upcoming announcement is an anouncement of an upcoming announcement itself. The club should have thought better of this. Even if they released the Fielden article without the hype, it would have been a whole lot better.

| Well they haven't bothered with hype this time but just put out another article. This time they've wheeled out Henry Paul. Same type of cringeworthy grammar as usual. Surely someone's told powers that be that stuff needs proofreading by now!

| Well.....all players, 'jump ship', at some point. I'd leave the acrimony to those who defecate on us (there have been a few) rather than such as Henry.

| To be fair don't think we can knock what we got from Henry very disappointed when he left, only to be expected with someone of his talents though. Highlights of the Grand Final against Wigan were on last night. Brought back some great memories

There is but I think it's more likely to be the "much more money to do much less work" reasoning that Union contracts often bring with them.
If someone offered me a lot more money to do the same job but having more break times in between jobs, I think I'd bite their hand off too.

Not a problem but give that as the reason for leaving, not wanting to be closer to your family. (Although I suppose Bristol is closer to NZ than Bradford)
