| Very talented though, would make a good partnership with Luke Gale.

| We've enough half backs, but he'd be a good option at centre. But again there's the big ? over his fitness.

| Quote: Roofaldo "Shawn Edwards is out of contract with the Welsh RU team. Don't know how many people on here watched Wales in the union world cup but they had a pretty mean defence, something we've lacked for a long while.'"
I think we need to get real. Edwards will be a big wage at Wasps / Wales and is one of the most highly regarded coaches in the Union code. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see him touted as a future England coach
The idea that he would come here as defensive coach - or even head coach - is fanciful

| Wouldn't mind a look at Raguin - the best player on that list.

I don't get the logic of releasing Crossley tbh. If we had a couple of top end props plus two more of Koppy's level plus a Tom Burgess and a 'project' in Manase then fair enough but at present we have,
Koppy - above average SL prop
Scruton - above average when fit but serious concerns about injury and illness
Hargreaves - below average SL prop
Burgess - potential star who is being blooded with limited minutes by the coach
Manase - could be anything
In terms of numbers, quality and experience at SL level this is an extremely skimpy set of props to start the season with. If anything we should be signing a prop let alone releasing one.

Agree with this statement but I think Crossley has had enough chances to impress over the last few seasons. Every time he played, he never left a memory of his contribution.
We do look a little short of forwards but I'd rather look at promoting some other youth player than persevere with Crossley.
Hopefully, we haven't seen the last of the players arriving.

Who? Crossley is only 20 and has had a handful of sub appearances in the nightmare end to 2010. I'm not saying he's the new Mozza but Koppy didn't pull up any trees at 20. Simple fact is we don't have enough props irrespective of whether they're any good or not.

| I can see Crossley coming back to bite us in the preverbial. Very young for a prop and in my opinio worth keeping hold of. I can see him really progressing at Dewsbury with regular game time.
Look at Tony Tonks as an example. Huddersfield must be quite confident in his ability to make the step up to Super League as they have lost a couple of props in the off-season and he seems like the only replacement looking at their recruitment so far.

Agreed. Unless we're going to bring in someone better. Which is doubtful. We're simply going into the season short. If one of front 4 gets a bad injury we're really up against it.
BTW do you really think Kopczak is "above average"? He's more "average" IMO.

| I watched him play in a number of u20's this year and he doesn't pull up any trees in that comp.
Compare him to addy who stands out head and shoulders in the u20's. I think potential SL players should at least stand out in the youth setup and I've not seen much evidence of crossley to make me think he will be a hit.
He may well come back to bite us, but MP must have taken his loan spell in a lower league into consideration before making his decision.

| I thought he looked a bit better than average but certainly no more than that. On Tonks I saw him play alongside James, Koppy and Matt Cook in a pre-season game which I think was at Dewsbury a few years ago and he looked the best of the lot. I think we sent him to Doncaster the week after.
No point whatsoever in investing time and money in props and shipping them out at 20/21 to sign the likes of Hargreaves.
