Watching Gareth Gates kick off against Wakefield reminds me of an interesting conversation my missus had with a "prominent official" at the Bulls a couple of weeks later. There was a ticketing cock up at the following game against Halifax which meant that my 82 year old father in law couldnt get into the main stand, had to stand on the terraces for the game. My missus rang up to complain, received a fulsome apology. During the course of the conversation she was told that the actual attendance for the Wakefield game was "thousands" more than the declared attendance. We'd completely bust the maximum attendance allowed on the safety certificate but no one was prepared to close the gates. Happy days.

Bloody hell, those were the days! 20k attendance against Wakefield!

So was the "get ready" in relation to the young players leaving or the no news about the new owner?

It's hard watching the academy players go but I can't help thinking that our brilliant youth set up was unrealistic. We had some of the best in the country, presumably because be paid them more than others offered? Money that we couldn't afford and part of the massive £180k per month wage bill (as claimed). All totally unsustainable.

To have the fans onside is surely paramount for any sports club. Would it kill anyone to just give an update? To say what's happening and when they are going to say something? It's just total bo**ocks and I'm sick of it all now.

There's a couple of reasons I'm inclined to believe He the Dee over KCN....apart from the last lingering dab of hope...
1) if is son's signed for Cas surely he's out of the loop
2) if he's out of the loop, given the players weren't happy with his leaks before, they aren't likely to share now?

I know this smacks of optimism but one last hope for the day before I am forced to 'retire' from RL

If a deal is done how can there still be 2 bids standing?
