The RFL wouldn't know when a player was going to sign a contract, so the 12th/13th date is not factual. AFAIK the RFL receive all the details after a player has signed a contract so that they can go through the salary cap checks etc.

The RFL also wouldn't know if a club had payed a transfer fee, when a contract hasn't been signed.

By ruling out the guys rumor above, I'm not saying Leon isn't coming. I've filled you in on certain information about this rumor before and AFAIK it's still the same situation and I presume it would be until the Orford situation is resolved.

Stuart Pyke from Sky & Five Live has just tweeted the following 2nite in answer to the SL questions he's recd

"am told Leon Pryce WILL be at St.Helens in 2011"

He's in the know so looks like this cud be dead in the water??

I never believed Pryce would be a Bull anyway. Saints want him, theyve got him another year and will be doing their best to secure him for even further.

pretty certain you would lose that bet dilli. Club has already said in pledge reminder email that there are more players to sign and connors hinted pretty strongly thats there another 1 or 2 imminent signings.

I'm not sure either way with regard to a 6. Im pretty certain if we dont sign a dedicated 6 we'll at least sign another half as cover. thing to remember is herbert can play 7 as well as 6.

If I'd have included the full quote, The J Man was referring to a SO in that line. I just trimmed it down. But yes, I did mean a 6. And yes, I can see how it looked otherwise



I can see us not getting a half at all yet and perservering with either Kearney, Addy or Southernwood in the halves (or perhaps one of the hookers playing there). Perhaps the targeted half hasn't worked out and there's just no-one good enough available. Probably better to play with a makeshift rather than sign someone who's not good enough just for the sake of getting a specialisted half back. Better to leave the room on the cap and then if someone becomes available later, there's more opportunity to get him?
