| Quote: paulwalker71 "My first thought on the Pryce news was 'why?'. Why offload a proven SL player from a paper thin squad? Even Joseph would add another body to the squad which is not exactly packed with prop forwards
But on reflection I think we have to trust FC and the new regime. I'm pleased that Cummins isn't just 'making do' with Pryce and Joseph just because 'they are there'. He obviously doesn't rate them, so he's moving them out. Good for him! He's putting his mark on the squad, and I'm prepared to believe that he knows what he is doing and has definite targets in mind or negotiations for those positions.
Basically, lets give the guy a chance'"
Pryce has had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus. I'm sure each coach has thought he could make something special out of Pryce's incredible raw ingredients & has failed. All credit to FC for getting rid of the waster. I thought FC lacked balls as a player, seems he might have grown some (or got one from Paul Wood).

Can only work if either one of existing non fed trained quota player leaves or some one gets a dispensation removing them from non fed trained quota ( which is what sammut had this season)

I was speaking to Franny at the fan's forum the other week about this subject and he confirmed that Sammut has been given dispensation.

thanks Verdeyen01 I will add that it is rumoured he has dispensation this year too to the OPost, but there had to be some degree of certainty for the TnA to mention twice that both nas and sam were in discussions. the possibility of getting both resigned is great news.

That's pretty huge news if true. Seems odd how it hasn't been mentioned in any T&A articles yet.
Also, how have they managed to bag a further dispensation from the RFL? Does anyone know of any other Cru players that were only signed up for 1 year deals after the club went under?

I can understand your confusion.
Asda is one of those plebby supermarkets, which you clearly haven't heard of. Strange that Tom Briscoe would have been there though - I had him down as Sainsbury's at least, if not full weight Waitrose..

Maybe an extra dispensation because it similar to situation original dispensations were granted in that by time our ownership was resolved most clubs will have filled their quotas limiting sammuts employment opportunities same as when crusaders decided to not apply for license mid season?. Would solve a problem area recruitment wise if true.

| If the T&A are correct in the dispensation/new contracts offered, and if they are all accepted would this be close to our 2013 25 man squad?;
1. Brett Kearney
2. [iShaun Ainscough[/i
3. Keith Lulia
4. Michael Platt
5. Elliot Kear
6. [iJarrod Sammut[/i
7. Luke Gale
8. Nick Scruton
9. Heath L'Estrange
10. [iManase Manuokafoa [/i
11. Thomas Olbison
12. Elliott Whitehead
13. John Bateman
14. Matt Diskin
15. Jamie Langley
16. Chev Walker
17. [iLiam McAvoy[/i
18. Adrian Purtell
19. [iJames Donaldson[/i
20. Adam O'Brien
21. Cain Southernwood
22. Jobe Murphy
23. A. NewProp (Fielden?)
24. A. NewProp (Loan deal?)
25. A. NewOutsideBack (Loan Deal? Blythe/a.n.other?)
If thats how it pans out we could have done a hell of a lot worse, I would have snapped your hand off for that 2013 squad a few months back. Really need to make sure we strengthen the front row though, maybe now we'll be seeing Langley play a lot more at prop.
