| Quote: Bulliac "Indeed. Rather like government figures, carefully choosing the start and end dates of your statistics can make a world of difference'"
Yes, you can manipulate the profit and loss and balance sheet figures over a period of time, but as Adey said a couple of weeks ago, you cannot do it for ever, and it is usually the cash flow that tells the tale, or as Rick at the UB Management Centre was want to say in his book Modern Financial Management, "Profit is an opinion, cashflow is a fact". If income exceeds expenditure for any period of time, no cash. What the accounts tell us is that Caisley threw cash at the team, Hood had to get cash out of any asset he could.

| Martin, did you do a summary of net cash flows year on year? Stripping out any major exceptionals? Occurs to me a nice little chart of that might be the most telling record of all?

| What the figures DO tell us though, especially using the figures bandied about by Coulby these last few days, is that if we could have back all the money that Harrisgate cost us and which we have physically paid out in hard cash, there would be no crisis.
Above all else, and by a very long chalk, signing Harris has brought us to this.

| Also I think paying hard cash for the coral stand rather than a loan which could have tax planning advantages.

| Putting aside oft debated historical issues - I think it looks increasingly clear that for the last two years operational cash flow was minus £100k a month - and it is this number for the rest of the season which is at least half the £1m+ "shortfall being quoted". Whatever shape or legal form we end up in in the next few weeks this will still be a problem.
The longer this drags on the more it seems the only professional RL in a BD posted code will be at Lawkholm Lane!

Funny you should ask that - since I booked long before the smelly stuff hit the quickly spinning blades.
To be fair, a weekend in France is a weekend in France - and is enjoyable in its own right. Much as I would miss the game (if the worst comes to the worst) I'm sure I'll enjoy the weekend anyway.......

| “If you’ve got any money, care about the Bulls and the impact it has on people who live and work in Bradford, then come forward.
“There is an opportunity here to acquire an iconic sporting brand.
Loud and clear - the club's for sale.

| The club's advisor seems to be saying we need "pledge mark 2" for a further £400k before the end of the month to bring in the other £800k?
So is anyone at the club itself going to come out and say this and try to get it organised? I personally would contribute if this is what it takes to give the club a chance of staying in the SL as I think if a clun drops out known there is little chance of ever getting back.
So message to BOD - time for some decisive leadership to get the fans to rally round - again!

| Caisley has a proposed £800k lined up, what do you get for the shortfall of £400K, cant see the current shareholders giving up any of their holding.

| So there is funding in place to secure the clubs future if the club/fans raise about half a million?
Just me that has a feeling of deja vu then?

| Trouble is, I don't believe any of them when they say they have investors lined up. If said investors transfer £800k to an independent account, which will categorically paid to the Bulls if the £400k is raised, then I will donate again. As long as no-one tells the tigress.
