Again, almost every other club in SL manages to keep traditional on their home shirt while leaving the experiments to their away shirt. If it really does make financial sense to go bold on the home shirt then why does nobody else? (The wealthy financial backer argument makes no sense - these are businesses, not just reckless vanity projects.)'"
I wouldn't say almost every other club. Certainly Hull and Saints for example do keep a similar shirt every year. But that's mainly down to the fact their fans go apesh*t if they change the design. Hull changed it from the irregular hoops and fans went nuts. So they try and stick with it. They probably don't sell as many shirts as they would like, but it's either that or fans revolt and don't buy hardly any. So for them, it's better business sense to stick with the traditional.
With our club, there isn't a big revolt when we don't go with hoops, because most people, although they might prefer hoops, aren't really that bothered. So it makes better business sense for us to bring out a new style each time.

| maybe theres scope for club to bring out a traditional 'special edition' shirt in limited numbers, like we did for 2007 centenary one. Do it in heavy cotton instead of modern fabrics and have a really traditional design. obviously wouldnt be used as a playing shirt but would sell well in shop to those who dont like the more modern designs?

Again though, haven't most people who want one of those already got one? There was the 2007 shirt, there was the Brian Mac Testimonial Shirt and there was a Bradford Northern one available from Retro Rugby. I know I have both the Retro Rugby one and the 2007 shirt at home.
Honestly, this discussion happens every year and I'm pretty sure the same answers are given every year. I don't really get why people expect a traditional shirt every time when it seems pretty clear to me that the club know which ones sell best and make their choice based on that, not on nostalgia.

At the fans forum the club made it clear they have no say on the design and just let Kooga produce their annual migraine.

But they chose Kooga. And chose to allow them full control. Which is essentially the same. If they were bothered about it being a traditional design, they'd make sure they had the control of that.

But you, you misanthrope (we haven't had an arguement on here for a full 5 minutes), have repeatedly said that they can't have a traditional shirt every year, and yet they haven't bothered to do so for 5 full years. I think people are now entitled to politely request some hoops.

| What the hell is going on with the stupid neckline on the home one and the even more stupid black collar on the away, looks rediculous.

| I like both jerseys. I think the home would have looked better without the black sleeve or with 2 black sleeves. Plus I think the away would look good with jeans which is always a major consideration from the designers
I got last years shirt but only when it was reduced
This is where the pledge comes into its own, the bigger upsell to contented fans of shirts and other products and services

especially when the shirts are so inexpensive as well. People are already feeling good because they got a bargain on the season ticket and the low shirt cost is an unexpected further bonus .
