Agreed.

I think he might have one anytime, and I suggested that one earlier aswell.

| I was told a list of players who are going at the end of this season.
Since then all but two of those have been confirmed.
Sam is one of them.

Great stuff, we can replace Sam with Glen Hall, a 'no nonsense' plodder, BJ with a repeatedly injured FB playing out of position and the crowds will flood back.

| Oh good, Mcnamara has tired of his "fill the squad with 2nd rowers" plan then!

He fell out with Platt so he did not get one of the compromising photographs.

| I really think that letting Burgess go would be a mistake, unless we get first refusal. Cook should stay aswell, he always gives 100%. Tadulala shuld be another one to stay, and if he is going, I can't help thinking that we'll struggle to find a replacement and then just shove Halley there and put Platt at FB.

I agree 100%

I agree to a point and I was massively against Cook leaving earlier inthe season when this was mentioned, but Whitehead has looked like he can do what Cook does and obviously has much more potential.

I agree, give semi one more year and if Semi does go we need a new winger. But I could see McNamara moving Halley to the wing and singing Kearney as FB with Platt continuing in his cover role. Problem there is we'd have two leightweight wingers.... we'd need a replacement type for type IMO

Agre with both your points there. If Sei goes without an adequate replacement then we'll really miss his metres, although judging by reserve grade performances Rudd may be worth a gamble.
I agree about Whitehead aswell, but as we are losing Morro, Sol and potentially Burgess we'll need some more experience in the SR (even if its only a couple years) imo.

And if Kearney ends up playing fullback, we're still going to need another half back.

Which is why i'm praying we sign one because if we have Sykes/Deacon as our halves for a whole season then we will have a shot at the wooden spoon never mind 3rd from bottom.

Yep. I have a friend down under who is a massive Sharks fan, and from chatting to him Kearney would be a huge improvement over Halley or Platt at FB if we could keep him fit, but thats a huge, massive if, they offered him a pay as you play deal beacuse of his injuries.
And we'd still need one (Id want two) halfs like you say.
My feeling is we're getting one of Kearney/Milard, not both. And that Sam is off, but not until the end of his contract so we'll have him next year I reckon (hope).
....all messing around the edges though without recruitment at Half back assuming BJ is off, and I wouldnt count signing an injury prone FB to play 6 as improvement.
