| Cummins had got himself into an impossible position and it was only a matter of time and circumstances.
When coaches and teams don't gel, it can be one, the other or both to blame, but it is a truism that when it happens, you can't sack the whole team, and so if there has to be a parting of the ways then it is always the coach who goes.
I don't know why Cummins didn't walke earlier. The comments he was making following weekly debacles were all a bit too close to the bone and too honest, effectively on more than one occcasion flagging up quite clearly that there were several players who were not "turning up" and that he had no idea whether they would "turn up" in the next game either.
But while I can't speak for Cummins, I would still bet that if you asked him, do you think that given you have lost the dressing room and we are playing each week like unfit, partially sighted strangers, we should still keep you in a job then he would know the answer. The cheap comment about him working for nothing - actually it may well be the great credit he built up that has kept him in post as long as he has been. Under anybody this squad would never be good, they might be some lower-midtable at best, but they should not be serving up the dross they are.
The bottom line is, it is the players, not the fans, nor even Green, who has ultimately got Cummins sacked.

| Quote Fantastic Mr Cat="Fantastic Mr Cat"James lowes presided over the worst pre season in Warrington superleague history, he brought his mate in for conditioning who had all the players with poser muscles, zero aerobic capability, he had no game plan and made us look bloody awful at thr start of 09, so much so he ended up in yet another fan related incident where he was offering some of our speccies pit aftet getting us shafted at wakey.
As well as that, we had to put up with his clueless amateur comedian esque interviews with our local press which made you question the guys proffesionality.
In closing, you are either James Lowe's, a family member of James Lowes or someone hoping to get a job IF James lowes is appointed.'"
I think the point I am trying to make is that JL did what everyone would do when offered the head coach role, he took it. He then had limited resources to appoint a back room staff (this is a fact I am privy to). The drinking culture at Wire is a myth, as there is this element at ALL clubs. The clubs are a small element of society as a whole and this country has a large binge drinking problem so why would clubs be different. JL recognised his limitations and has worked hard to address them, it's called CPD.
In summary, given the success and additional CPD do you not think the guy deserves a chance to be head coach again, remember Powell apparently failed at Leeds then went away to 'learn' his trade (CPD again) and is now back better than ever. Powell also rates Lowes by the way, as do most others who have worked with him. I bet you wouldn't turn down Powell right now.

| I would be happy with Jimmy Lowes
We all know we are going down but I still reckon we can attract a decent coach. Now really is the acid test of Marc Green and I reckon whoever gets the job will tell us a lot about Green and our future. If he goes for an inexperienced guy it will tell us he is happy for us to be a championship club for a while,if he goes and gets a really good man as coach maybe that will tell us he is serious about us coming straight back up

| Given the comments from radio Leeds have been noted I'll just repeat my text to them...
I feel sad that things haven't worked out for Cummins and St Hillaire. They seem like nice blokes who are leaving with their heads held high. Cummins in particular has shown a lot of dignity and I hope that they both move on to bigger and better things. However, the club had to do something whether jd likes it or not. Unfortunately for the team at radio Leeds the fans pay the coaches' and players' wages. The club are now effectively relegated a change so had to come. Unfortunately there is no room for sentiment and that points against record speaks for itself. Keith Booaza, buttershaw

| Wish Cummins the very best. He really was in an impossible position, but changes had to be made.
For me there is only one clear choice. Brian Noble!

I'd rather we picked someone with no prior connection to the club personally.

| We might still have Heath and Jamie if he had been shown the door at the end of last season.
