Leon Pryce is an "option" on Potters shopping list not a "must have" and he is getting more injury prone and not out of the woods on his latest problem, you have more chance of seeing Cooke rather than Pryce for next season.

I know! There's not many options for 6's out there! We need someone so Cooke would be a more obvious (cheaper) choice

I have a sneaky feeling we will be getting a make do #6 on a one yr deal.

I fear pryce maybe too much of a risk now, given his injury i recon its a huge gamble to pay a fee for someone who may miss half of the season still, I recon there is a deal on the table to sign pryce after next season when its no longer a gamble,

I have a very similar feeling! I heard rumours that Pryce may have to retire because of his current injury! Lets hope something gets sorted out!

If we were going to go down that route I'd rather we used one off kearney,royston,addy or even sykes than sign cooke as a starting half. That said I could see a sort of sense in signing him as a backup half, covers standoff and loose (where we dont have a name that stands out that they should play there at moment) and surely even cooke would realise this is his absolute last chance saloon and knuckle down - backed up by a pretty heavily loaded contract in our favour.

imo he's a luxury player,one who's fantastic when your side is 10 points up,but when a game gets too tough he goes hiding and is a liability
