| Don't worry I won't. I thoroughly enjoy a trip to Odsal and had I not been ill all week would have been there tonight. It's just a shame a minority manage to spoil the game for some people. Next time just move or tell the stewards and get them kicked out!

| Stewards were pathetic and didnt know how to control the situation! It could have been prevented as i saw bradford fans ushering in the stewards to take the leeds fan out to no avail mate

| Too often the case I'm afraid. You should rreport that to the club - it might not do any good but at least they'll be aware they could have helped prevent the problem. It might just be me but stewards at Headingley do seem to have improved in the last couple of years

| Yeah i have to admit Headingley has improved. Can anyone give me an update as to what happened to the fan in question or if anyone was injured. I heard reports of an ambulance can anyone confirm?

| I don't want to speculate as it could be rubbish. I saw it as a fight that could have been prevented but nothing worse than is seen a t a football game. Stupid anyway but hindsight is wonderful. Put it down as a slight blip on a decent turnout and behaviour from Bulls

| The Leeds fan was with what looked to be his family or girlfriend who were all Bulls fans, so its hard to draw the line really on who can stand where if it means families splitting up!
From what I heard the Leeds fan was having banter and a few Bulls didnt like it and thats how it kicked off. The Leeds lad then did give alot back and gave a sarcy wave as he was ushered out which then caused another mass brawl in which a steward pulled the guy down and they tumbled down a few steps. Looked like the Leeds fan may have bust his arm. The older guy (a Bull) with the Leeds fan then went ballistic and called everyone in the surrounding area scum. He deserved to be locked up for his antics, he was uncontrollable.
A steward stood next to me just watched and gaped at it all. I asked if he'd do owt or call the cavalry and he just shrugged! (To be fair he was a small guy and he was on the other side of the barrier!) Potter and a few of the other coaching staff were all watching as it unfolded, I even saw the guys in the Sky studio having a watch too! Whilst it did spoil it for some I thought it offered some entertainment! (yes thats bad of me to say!)

| The guy can stand with us if he behaves like a fan in the opposing end should do. i wouldnt give it the big one if i was in with the leeds fans. Don't speculate on the fight with rumour as your story is semi true but could be misconstrued. The man dragged down the steps was my dad who did hit the Leeds fan after he blind sided another fan which was ridiculous. The family with the leeds fan were a disgrace which i will say as they insulted me and my family to a great extent with no vocal reply to be exact. Don't listen to rumours as god's word as it can only make the situation. I will explain if you want to on here my point of view but would rather forget the fight and remember the rugby

There was, as far as I know unrelated, serious medical emergency shortly after the game had finished close to 'Cue Gardens' .....

| The fact that this is being discussed shows what a model sport we here. 20,000 fans stand in an unsegregated stadium during a tight local derby, and a couple of people have some fisticuffs over frayed tempers. Nothing to worry about. It's not organised like football, and not par for the course, like it feels in Hull.

Exactly.
Although I'm sick of reading comments from RL fans giving it the "it's not football" rubbish.
As for segregation - how many away fans feel free to stand in the South Stand at Headingley as opposed to that grotty Western Terrace? In fact when I've bought tickets to watch Bulls at headingley it says do not attempt to enter via the South Stand.

| Such a shame. One of the things I love about RL is that the fans mingle and have a laugh and there is hardly ever any trouble, even in passionate local derbys. Unfortunately there are always knobs on both sides and likewise, there are then always people who end up getting dragged in.
As I put in the BEER! post, I was far from impressed with the stewards last night, I don't know what the standard of stewarding is like compared to football - with their being fewer incidents fo crowd trouble do they tend to use staff with less experience of dealing with violent situations as they mainly seem to... do nothing if I'm honest! Crowd control and direction possibly? Tell you not to stand where you're stood?!
With regards to people getting upset when crowd trouble is compared to football... I don't think it should be taken personally to be honest! We all know and recognise that the majority of football fans (myself included) go and watch games and drink in pubs with fans from other teams without any trouble and feel oppressed by the security and rules that are put in place (I went to see York City at Wembley and every pub around the ground was for 'home/Stevenage' fans and, despite being told that pubs for City fans were down the road we never did find one...) However, unfortunately the rules are there for a reason and as we see every time Leeds play Millwall, when the West Ham fans were rioting last year and when the Luton fans attacked the York players in the playoffs at the end of last season, there is still an element who go to games looking for a scrap and there is still an organised 'Ultra' element to some of that violence. It's a fact, it's a minority, it probably happens more because there are a lot more football clubs and therefore more football fans than rugby fans. Football will always be the bar to which other sports are held up because of the trouble that used to happen at games and, despite the largely successful work done to clean up the game, it still happens and it's left the rest of us suffering.

| I think the stewards leave a lot to be desired. There was a young lad trying to police where we were standing, he looked about 12.
