| Quote: Bully_Boxer "Out of the more realistic targets, I'd love to see Mick Potter at the Bulls.'" He'd be a good option for you. He's done well at keeping Saints at the right end of the table with limited resources. I think he'd do a good job of getting bradford back on their feet and bringing on the youngsters you appear to have around the fringes.
He wants to go home though, so you may have to crank your offer up to secure him, which may not be worth it.

| Denis Betts must have something lined up or he would not jack a job elsewhere in like he has.
Maybe big joe has applied!

There are other reasons for leaving... e.g. would you stay in your job if you'd won the lottery?

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "Don't be even more stupid, the bet is not whether Bellamy is our next coach, which is on any view unlikely, but whether you have specific inside information. And nobody believes for one second that you do, so give it a rest as it's embarrasing.'"
O ye of lttle faith!
Be realistic, rugby league isn't exactly a 'behind closed doors' type of sport is it? And its not as if information is ever kept strictly a secret, take for example Brough departing to Huuds, Harris to Bulls, etc, etc.
I'm sure I'm not the only person on here that has heard various peices of information from inside or passed from the inside to the next man and so and so on. Just because you may have been unfortunate not to have head anything more than petty rumours on a message board, it doesn't mean others haven't.
Believe what you want to believe, makes no difference to me. And once the decision is out in the open, I will more than happy to 'pm' you what I knew, how I knew it, provide a little form of evidence to back it up.

Hang on, you're now making [imy[/i point for [ime[/i! You're [iadmitting[/i (I think) that in fact you've just heard rumours/gossip etc.

No, you won't. Either you have to respect some sort of confidence, in which case you could never reveal your 'source', or you don't. And there is absolutely no possible reason for you not to post, publicly, "what you know", even if not how you know it or your 'evidence'.
As you haven't, and are floundering to explain why you won't, we all draw our own conclusions. You are free to remedy this. You may be the Bulls' chief lawyer, or the Prophet Isaiah, but nobody believes you, and you say you don't care, so everyone's happy.

No matter what source it comes from, is it all not just rumours?
For example, if player A was to tell player B who was then to tell me would you class that as a good source or merely a rumour?
You decide.

Oh, pack it in, now. If I claimed Hood had assured me that Dale Winton was our next coach, that is not a rumour, it is a factual report of a specific conversation with a specific individual who is clearly in a position to know. Of course, I could be lying about what Hood said, and of course, Hood could be lying to me. Neither of which makes the factual account a "rumour". It may be the truth, or it may be a lie, but it is ridiculous to call it a "rumour". It is a "report", which is capable of being checked.
If however I don't divulge my source, then it is neither a rumour nor a good source. It may be to you, but as we don't know your alleged source nor, in this case, even what your alleged source said, then it is just one more of millions of internet claims made daily by folk who claim to be "in the know", but of whom 99.9% are, as you know, lying. That still leaves a small proportion who might be telling the truth, but nobody will ever believe them, cos even if something they claimed to "know" comes to pass, it could easily just have been a lucky guess and, in the majority of cases, was.
The only avenue for someone wanting to leak info without disclosing sources is to gain a reputation for consistently being right.
Quote: Bit_of_bully "You decide.'"
Well, I checked our squad and I can't see we have any players called either 'A' or 'B', so back into the "pointless claims" drawer you go. And really, if the best you can do is to say "it will NOT be Bellamy" then I wouldn't bother. Anyone could guess that, about any coach on the planet, and by definition the vast majority of them will be right.

Purely conjecture.
However history in any industry illustrates having an open cheque book doesn't guarantee success.
Ask anyone who has played under Bellamy their thoughts. I'm sure their answer may be a little different to yours.

| according to one of todays papers jason taylor is favourite to be next coach after paying his own air fare to come over for an interview. Certainly seems like he's seriously interested if thats true. Would be quite pleased if we got him tbh. would add a little extra spice to our matchs against hudds too

Jason Taylor would be a popular appointment IMO. Which paper was it in?
I wonder if Brian Smith has been helping us out again?

Daily star. Not the best for RL news but also along way from the worst and theres usually some substance behind what they print unlike the blatantly made up stuff in some of the other dailys.
