| Quote: Durham Giant "I tore my ankle ligaments 5 years ago. Went for physio and was told it was the worst ligament damage she had seen. She said it would have been much better if i had broken my ankle as it would have caused less damage. It took two years before it got back to normal.
Bones heal quicker than ligaments i believe.'"
But as I said, in this case. Ebola would be worse, but there's no suggestion he's got that, nor of any ligament injury.

Must admit, my first reaction when I read it was not a break was "oh shît" because to require stretchering off when not a break could well point to serious ligament issues - as people have said.

| Yes it's often said that ligament damage is a worse injury than a broken bones for sports men and women.

| Well I'd be surprised to say the least if a serious ligament damage case wasn't diagnosed, or even hinted at, by the Bulls physio/med staff - the signs and symptoms aren't tough to spot. Though I suppose you never know. Still, to date nobody from the Bulls has used the 'L' word whereas if he had ligament damage they would certainly have done a scan to assess how bad this damage was.

When the swelling subsides. And you don't just turn up and get a scan on the spot. Although hopes must be that this is not a serious injury, it is surely premature to confidently rule it out?
Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "It’s great news that he’s not suffered a break. We’ll monitor him over the next 48 hours and do tests to see what the situation is. Hopefully, he won’t spend too much time out, although you can never be too sure.'"

| There have been cases of deep bruising which initially point to a break along with the type of pain associated with one. (Even worse would be the type of blood clot problem John O'shea is suffering from at Man U, even with their access to the best medical attention he could get!) It's to be be hoped the next diagnosis will be not as bad as feared!

If it's ebola how long will he be out for?

| I suppose the timing could have been a lot worse and he broke down in training. At least we will have a week to practice without him.

| I wonder how bad Sculthorpe's back is, starting without 2 of the 4 main props would hurt any team, so I hope we can get both of them back asap (obviously not risking further injury)

Jeez, we can do without any cases of that Adey. According to my medical dictionary, cases of dead have been known to be fatal........well, in extremis, anyway.

| Considering it being Scully & Kopczak with the injuries, I'll be very surprised if we don't see Crossley at least in the 19 this week. If not him, it may even be one of the Burgii (but I still think they're not quite ready yet).
