I hope you are right. But our ability to attract good quality sponsors must be at an all time low. I wouldn't want to tie my business in with whats going on at Odsal right now.

| Really annoyed with how the club has been run over the past eight years and the constant bad news we get coming from Odsal, we have gone from a Super League winning club to sh*t in the space of eight years, for me the only way we will ever get back to where we are is if we have a Paul Caddick, Simon Moran or a Marwan Koukash on board.

Unfortunately it may take something of that gravity to ward off the constant negative publicity and re-energize the fans that are staying away.

Absolutely.
But, then again, I know sod all according to many on here. I guess this just turns the screw that wee bit more though eh?

Koukash will not be seen for dust once he realises that he cannot polish a turd.

| Quote: Father Ted "Odsal's playing area is nowhere near 100 mtrs long.
I thought last time you went to VP 5000 fans were lost and that was the reason you returned to Odsal.
That's of far more importance surely than the length of the field of play.'"
The Odsal playing area is approximately 96 metres long to be fair, which by my reckonnig isn't [ithat[/i far off.
The VP experience did cost a lot of fans, that's true but that was then and we're now into different times, with different circumstances and maybe fans won't be quite so fussy today. Personally, I don't feel VP is right for rugby, due to the same reasons that were nearly very costly at Old Trafford. A bit more room between the goal line and the brick wall and it would be much better.

It's one of the problems with being a bellend. Even if you're right people will fight over who gets to disagree with you the most.

The board we have now are akin to Caddick in that he runs Leeds on a strict financial basis. Suspect that the other two largely underpin their clubs. It would be interesting to know which other SL clubs could survive without their Sky money.

I came on here to add my support to your current plight but seeing this post from Mystic Eddie I'm not so sure.
Seriously, as a Salford fan for 40 years I've seen us go through a lot of lean times culminating in a similar position this time last year to yourselves. Last year I attended 2 meetings similar to your meeting the other night and it was an awful feeling. We felt as though part of us was about to be ripped out.
I'm hoping as a Rugby League fan that you manage to come through this and still have a Rugby League side at the end of it.
We were extremely lucky that Marwan Koukash came to our aid because without him Salford RLFC wouldn't exist any more. Hopefully you can come through this as a stronger club and with the genuine fans sticking together to support one of the true Rugby League clubs.
All the best in your fight from the other side of the hills

You can find out.
SL clubs had to file their accounts for the year to 30/11/2012 before last week ( Bradford were given extra time)
So they're all in Companies House at just £1 per set.

| I keep looking through the attendance stats for the drop of 5000, it does not seem to be there, we have shipped more off the average gate in the last few years when our off field activities have been attracting more attention than those on the field. Like most fans I have an irrational sentimental attachment to Odsal but going forward it is clear we need to take whatever steps are necessary to keep the money on maintaining the team on the pitch wherever that pitch might be in Braford.

Pretty sure they wouldn't. The upkeep of the ground to basic OH&S standard's and the minimum requirements of the RFL & SL must cost way above the 100K mark, with the Landlord being the RFL its up to them to make sure it does. I don't think they charge the Bulls the difference as part of the behind the scenes help!

Quite right.
The most pressing is the attendances and as FC has remarked on the Bulls website. The supporters who go to matches encourage everyone they know to go and be involved. The supporters have a right to demand high class, ruthless, competitive rugby from the club and the players.
Supporters have to put the past into the past and get up there, the Bulls are not just a team but representative of the great city of Bradford.
It is that same sense of passion, determination and ruthlessness from board to the team on the field that will project the club to success.
Mentioning sponsors, lets not forget Provident, they are keen to ensure that they can help and I am grateful for such a high profile and powerful sponsor.

| Quote: Adeybull "Were you at the forum?
The point I think Moore was making was that when OK took over, the club had zero debt (it was, after all, a completely new company) and significant operating costs to meet. It now has £1.2m of debt, and significant operating costs to meet. Simple statement of fact about why the financial position now is worse than then.
The interpretation (or misinterpretation) of what was said is down to you. My interpretation differs to yours, since I took it as a simple statement of fact.
If you were at the forum, you will also know that they made it clear that OK - and the rest of the previous administration - indeed had no grounding in RL, or in running a joined-up business involving sport, stadium, hospitality and merchandising. Again, not my interpretation, simply repeating what was actually said. He went on to say that OK seemed to leave all the day to day decsions to Whitcu*t, and used words to the effect that the latter was effectively out of control.
I'm not sure who has had dealings with and been involved in meetings with any of the OK administration. But as one who has, I saw with my own eyes very clear specific examples of where Whitcu*t had clearly not briefed OK, or may even have told him things that were not correct. Maybe he was telling OK what he wanted to hear. And for one of those points, which affected me and my colleagues very directly, I had to put him straight very directly indeed, in front of Whitcu*t.
When history comes to be written, although OK was his own worst enemy in some respects, I feel sure it will record that he was badly let down by some he relied on.'"
It's not 'simple' as you're no doubt well aware but don't let that hold you back.
