| To true, didnt mean it as all off their team only have to look at wellens chasing down jeffries and stopping him short, but he was the only one when attempted to chase him.
Think you have to decline before you can raise again bradford are on the way up semi-decent cup run with a playoff finish not bothered where and it should be all gravy. think the top 5 will stay as they are hull fc seem to be to strong for us atm but you never know, and it will be a four team fight between ourselves, salford, saints and KR for the final 3 places

| Saints could be well up there IF (Big IF) they improve drastically. Who knows. It's to early on for me to worry about the table yet.

But 7 games in sacking a coach who got you to a final last year, can't see the logic myself.
Surely it's better to give a proven coach a go rather than give two nobodys (In terms of SL coaching) the reigns. I think Cunningham will help get the players playing for the shirt, but imo Saints have kissed goodbye to the top 4 this season by sacking Simmons.

Next two games are pretty big for us. Up to now we've been playing without any pressure but the last few weeks will now have people expecting a top 8 finish. Good results over the next fortnight would go a long way towards that.

Nothing can be done now. Eamonn has made his decision. Who knows what will happen in the next few weeks - we could improve alot or not at all. I'm only going to comment on the table come the end of the season not in March.

Fair enough, just like to see coaches given a fair chance.

| Insane decision to sack a coach just a handful of games after he got Saints to the Grand Final
As he correctly said in the post-match interview that was shown on SL Full Time, its not as if Saints have been getting gubbed every week. They had their pocket picked by Catalans with a wonder try after the hooter, they lost by a single point to Huddersfield, and even though we deserved to beat them on Saturday it was hardly a thrashing.
I agree with the earlier comments that maybe a bit of player power is at work here. Or something behind the scenes. Because something about this doesn't really seem quite right....

| They have played well their last games but without roby they seem to be lacking the killer instinct and i agree with you bout the other games, very close losses to team who will be in the top 5 this year and will trouble the other big names huddersfield should have a cracking year this year

| The results sound like an excuse to me. This early in the season, after playing in the last GF under the same coach, with plenty of time to turn it around before the play offs, this is not about the results. If it's about getting to the GF this year then replacing your 1 & 2 with your 3 & 4 is not the way to do it.
Either the people above him or the people below him can't stand him.
Anyway, screw Saints and their next three games.
Our next three games are looking very interesting now.
Salford at home
Hull away
Leeds at home.
Salford could be tough and Leeds could easily be a lottery. Hull away is a real test though.

| Even when we've been poor the last 2 seasons, we always up our game against Leeds. Hopefully both sets of fans will be in for a treat with a great game for that one.

My bad. I thought he had, either way the game had stopped, Gaskell had relaxed his concentration & all other players apparently the same. What Elima did is not in dispute, just the timing of it. I actually gave a whoop of delight when it happened as Bulls have been missing that aggression for a long time, as a number of posters have said.
When I sat back down I thought it was a dumb play by Elima, Saints at that time showed all the body language of a defeated team & I worried the afters might galvanise them into a response. It did momentarily but they continued losing discipline.
3 years ago I called Elima the best back row in SL, he's not at that level yet but is looking pretty frightening again.

| Quote: tigertot "I am waiting for it to come on line before I can watch it again. Listening to Jamie Bloem on Radio Leeds yesterday, who is now a referee & commentated on the game, he said "If the ball is on the floor Foster has got to have the right to kick it" (or something along those lines), followed by "When his boot makes contact with Whitehead's face it has to be a penalty". It seems Bloem thinks he has. The only reason I can see that Foster couldn't go for the ball is if Whitehead had already scored the try, which I don't believe he had at the time.
I expected some opposition to my view but I didn't expect it to crash the site.'"
The ball is bound to be on the floor when a try is scored but it was in the try scorer's hands, and I whilst I'm certainly no referee, I'm fairly sure you're not allowed to kick out at a ball when it's in someone's hands - even if simultaneously, it is on the floor.
I'm perfectly happy to concede that it wasn't deliberate - these things happen in the heat of battle, and the ball may well have been loose on the ground when he cocked the trigger [ibut[/i as was shown on all the replays, it was in Whitehead's hands well before the kick arrived and he didn't [ihave[/i to follow through with it - imo, it was dangerous and rightly penalised. We should though, hear no more about it from Red Hall.
