What's the plan? Are we just sponsoring 1 player or are we saying £20 each and sponsor 2?

Just a thought, what does everyone else think? Personally I'd be willing to pay a little extra to sponsor two players.

Or a higher profile player?

We need to see availability first!

If it's possible or even preferable I wouldn't be opposed to upping to £20 to sponsor two players. If so it would be better to split into two seperate groups.

I'd still say local lad/s who are relatively (or brand) new to the squad.

That's my view anyway, but if we sponsored a "higher" profile player I'd be ok with that too.

Since all that signed up were willing to put in £20, lets put a ceiling as that as the amount for everyone and see what we can get for that.

It's better to start deciding stuff like that when we have a definitive list of who is available and how much each one will be. Once we have that, we can vote to determine which player or players to sponsor. I agree that now we have 50+ people though, we can put a £20 ceiling on it.

I personally do not mind who we sponsor. It all goes into the pot for the club so it is all good by me.

My lawyers will be calling on you presently for licence fees...

But, joking aside...yes - as you can see I'd consider that if the pot was big enough, and would anyway be happy to pay £20.. Would probably be unique then in terms of sponsorship, so more likely to attract interest from the media and non-sponsoring fans?

We could sponsor two but I think that would probably work best with the Burgess twins like somebody already suggested. That of course would be dependant on them getting a first team shirt... perhaps a little early for that?

Another option is we do a match ball sponsor or something if there is enough left over from just sponsoring the one player.

I am sure the 1-17 will not struggle too much for a sponsor. I would prefer to go for 1 or 2 fringe squad players- young & local.

I'm happy to go for sponsoring 2 players, but I (seemly like many) think it should be new talent that has come through the ranks at Odsal.
