Thought he slotted in well considering the amount of time spent on the sidelines injured. Aside from one wayward kick out on the full his kicking was good and kept turning the Broncos round in the 2nd half. Soon got stuck in and was taking the defence line on. Didn't do any place kicking probably due to not wanting to risk too much strain on his ankle at this stage. Though might just have been due to lack of practice recently and Sammut is a pretty decent kicker anyway. |

Not sure it's a headache as such. No disrespect to Addy who's filled in well, but Gale will be first choice scrum half now he's fit. Addy will be competing with Donaldson for loose forward spot. Which one plays may depend on opposition that week. Donaldson when we want a stronger defence, Addy when we want more attacking options. |

My brother - who is a Wigan fan - said last week that he felt that Sammut was a strong early candidate for MOS this year. Games like he clearly had on Saturday will certainly not do him any harm whatsoever.
