There needs to be a time limit on VR decisions, say 90 seconds. Looking at something for three minutes using the same couple of angles over and over again proves that the VR couldn't decide what he was seeing.

The ball **possibly** brushed his elbow (the many, many replays were inconclusive) after he kicked the ball against the defender from a foot away. He was looking in the opposite direction. No way in hell did he make a play for it - any marginal contact was utterly minimal and irrelevant to the trajectory of the ball
Frankly, it was a terrible decision - entirely typical of Silverwood.

| Or you could take a complete different look at it and say..chev kicked ball..ball hit leeds player..leeds player had no control of ball..walker went to tackle leeds player without the ball...penalty to leeds.

...in which case why didn't the referee or the video ref even hint that this was an option> I don't even recall the pro-Leeds commentary team suggest it.
No. The ONLY issue at stake was whether Walker knocked on

| Walker undoubtedly knocked on, it's not even debatable. Whether it was deliberate, fair or slight is irrelevant.

If it was without doubt, why so many replays of the same footage?
To be honest I'm over it, I saw enough today to suggest we have a much better season to look forward to. It just seems like we rarely get the benefit of doubt from the video referee in the big matches.

To get the right angle & decision. At first I thought it was a dead cert try. It must have been at least 10 showings before I changed my mind. Not that I am against a time limit on decisions. But then there would be instances of Sky showing replays which subsequently indicate a wrong decision. Cue more hysteria.

If Walker didn't knock it forward, how did the ball travel forward?
You're not seriously suggesting it came off his leg are you?

The same angle was replayed probably 5 or 6 times and slowed and reversed. Not to mention a few other angles thrown in for good measure so I stand by my comment that the decision was without any doubt. Could Silverwood have said without doubt that BJB didn't brush the ball with his arm a split second before Chev came in?
I can guarantee we will see much more obvious knock ons in video ref decisions this year that will lead to 'benefit of doubt' being flashed up on the big screen.
But anyway it's gone now.. time to look forward to the next game. Should be a bumper crowd at Odsal.. cannot wait!

Did I say that? I am just responding to someone who said it was "obvious" that Walker knocked on. No it was not obvious, it took 20 viewings, and still there was some doubt.
What was obvious was Webb's knock on near his own try line...

45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| FACT: Both teams were terribull (pardon the pun...). If either had faced a good side yesterday they would have been hammered. Leeds looked like a team playing with no leader or direction and their kicking game was shocking. They relied on individual brilliance from the likes of Webb and Burrow, which is alright if you are coasting with an 18 point lead (oops). The Bulls were as limited as you'd expect. Kearneys' kicking game was fantastic and embarrassed the Rhinos too often. The young lad in the second row had a superb game for the Bulls; man of the match by a mile.
Come back Peacock and Maguire asap.

Care to explain and justify that comment?
