personally I dont think fenton has been much of a step up compare To what we already have

He's not been as good as last year but I think off field issues have affected him. He's improved in recent weeks IMO.

Given that we're going to be down on number in the next few weeks losing him and McGowan is a blow.

It's a funny old game sometimes. A fee weeks ago McGowan couldn't get a game for us and now we need him he is back at his parent club playing SL rugby.

Fenton hasn't been anywhere near the form of last year but we are short of bodies in the middle so he will be a loss.

If we keep it to a couple of scores difference I'd be happy.

Super effort from the team today. Tackled their hearts out. Wakefield deserved winners but that refereeing performance was the worst I've seen in years.

Yeh cannot grumble at the effort and commitment, especially on the back of away to Toulouse, whoever decided that in the fixtures was definitely no fan of the Bulls!

Some the decisions were perplexing at times and I'm genuinely not sure how our play was deemed so much less disciplined than Wakefield. Doro once again sin binned for a fairly innocuous tackle - is he a target for the officials as you could pick plenty of incidents today that might have been a yellow.

I thought Wakefield were the better side overall and defended really strongly and deserved the points. Powell having a moan about the size of the pitch on Radio Leeds and how many injuries they have - diddums.

How did those two blatant tip tackles not at least get a penalty? Both players clearly over the horizontal.

Penalty count 12 7 so not that onsided.i remember first game of season and bulls moaning about injuries and as for pitch we'll if u want to plsy on a under 7s size pitch then so be it

I mean it was nearly double in favour of Wakefield and often in kicking range, I'd say that was pretty one sided! Add in a sin bin that pretty much killed the game. Wakefield are clearly the best side in the league by some distance, any side facing them is going to need a 50/50 share of decisions to stay in the game. I thought the officiating was inconsistent to put it politely.

Regarding the injuries it seemed a strange thing for Powell to whinge about when the side he was facing had similar numbers missing and also playing with 1 half!
