| read that on NRL news, something about manly needing more cap space and wanting to keep cherry-evans and letting lyon go as they seem CV as a replacement

| Lyons a quality player but will be 31 at the start of next season and probably won't come cheap. Would still be a great signing though.
Funny Saints now have full faith in Rush and Cunningham. Seem to remember them saying the same about Simmons, but a few injuries and bad losses and he's gone.

| In that logic we should be bottom and potter would have been, long gone lol.
Seems like the saints players didnt seem to care on sat and it showed similar to bradford when we played wigan & catalan at start of the season, bulls players have more heart now and seem to be trying something i havent seen in a while

| Eamonn McManus said that he has got every faith in Rush & Cunningham. They each know the club inside out and have all the experience together to move us forward. I've always liked Cunningham - He's a top guy & a Saints legend never to be forgotten. Could never say a bad word about him.

| I don't care what other fans have to say about him tbh lol. He's a legend to me & always will be. I knew the sacking was coming anyway. It'll be interesting to see how we play against Leeds on Sunday.

Some clearly cared. Foster certainly cared - but was guilty of trying too hard (except when watching bouncing balls... ) and had a 'mare instead. And Wellens played out of his skin and carried the team - superb effort.
But Saints on Saturday looked so much like Bulls over the last couple of years. And, like we were, a team that from its heights has suffered death by a thousand cuts. Lets see if getting shot of the coach gives them the rejuvenation so you often see?

Said something similar about Simmons though.

Do think he should have been given more time. If Rush and Cunningham do as bad or worse, they won't be sacked as Rush is only caretaker and Cunninghams a Saints legend.

| To true, didnt mean it as all off their team only have to look at wellens chasing down jeffries and stopping him short, but he was the only one when attempted to chase him.
Think you have to decline before you can raise again bradford are on the way up semi-decent cup run with a playoff finish not bothered where and it should be all gravy. think the top 5 will stay as they are hull fc seem to be to strong for us atm but you never know, and it will be a four team fight between ourselves, salford, saints and KR for the final 3 places

| Saints could be well up there IF (Big IF) they improve drastically. Who knows. It's to early on for me to worry about the table yet.

But 7 games in sacking a coach who got you to a final last year, can't see the logic myself.
Surely it's better to give a proven coach a go rather than give two nobodys (In terms of SL coaching) the reigns. I think Cunningham will help get the players playing for the shirt, but imo Saints have kissed goodbye to the top 4 this season by sacking Simmons.
