| I'm fine with that, in fact it would be as good as we are likely to get, the one caveat is where does that leave the academy?

I suppose we have to give the guy a chance, but it does seem like the cheap option

I agree that it smacks of the very cheapest option.
Moore said in an interview that lots of players are leaving.
Gledhill said (yes I know!) about 70% of the players are leaving.
Many of them do need to go - even some of the bigger names.
It was interesting to hear that in the D1 meeting with the RFL they were told that there will be a Ch. and D1 restructure for 2018.
Some Championship chairmen are worried about HKR and Bulls moving out of that division as they said it is worth £80k to each club - and there will be too many games with no away fans.
We are relegated but will we actually get there. I am expecting a lot of news to start coming out of Odsal and Red Hall in a couple of weeks when the games are finished.
Mind you, I have heard from a very good source that the RFL have investigated the game where Foxy had 14 players on the field for 30 seconds in November 1978 and that the tea lady has been putting double the tea bags into the pot this year to give the lads a boost and we are definitely starting next season with an 18 points deduction.

Thats my worry.
They will falsely keep us in the champ league AGAIN
And they will announce it after our best players have left AGAIN
And they'll probably penalise us for helping them out AGAIN

| So, with Oldham now officially relegated, do we know if Swinton are out of the woods financially or not?
I'd hate for them to go through anything like what we have, and I would much rather see us go down and rebuild properly like we need to, but they've already had problems this year and I can't help but wonder if there is still a potential 'reprieve' (I use that term loosely!) on the cards for the Bulls if they are still struggling financially.
Just a thought.

They're not officially relegated.
If they beat Dewsbury and Toulouse beat Swinton, by a combined total of 176 points, Swinton would be relegated.
Granted, that's about as likely as Bradford going a season without a winding up petition, but still not official.

If Frank comes out with enough rumours some of them are bound to be true thanks to the law of averages. I'm still waiting for the wealthy owners to arrive
Mick also reckons we're staying up.
I'm sure we don't need reminding how accurate a lot of rumours from certain sources were during the last meltdown. I would advise nobody wastes any energy in hoping they are true. We'll just have to wait and see.

Spoilsport......
Though everything seems to be falling into place for the RFL's big 'Oh No' moment; we're down, Rovers are up as are Toronto. It only needs Les Cats to come down and all their rainy days will have come at once as regards attendances in next year's championship matches.

| I don't think we will go down, even more so now Hull KR are promoted
Sheffields chairman was saying he doesn't want the Bulls to go down yesterday in his programme column.

Did he also say he didn't want Hull KR to go up?
Seriously, you can't have a sporting competition with promotion and relegation, where a relegated club doesn't get relegated because the other teams don't want them to get relegated
It makes the whole league season totally pointless

| Be interesting to see which view has primacy. The RFL will want us to go down (integrity) otherwise they look a laughing stock. It sounds like more championship chairmen (money) and SKY (Bash viewing figures - money) want us to stay. Does Integrity>Money? or is it Money>Integrity. I know which I would prefer.

| So there will need to be some sort of face-saving exercise where everyone gets something. Again. What a farce.
