| a quality prop and a quality scrum half...
an experienced 9 to give a bit more diversity in attack.
then we are sorted,
our backs are good enough in my opinion, if Jimmy uses them properly which is the problem.

We won't be signing a seven or a nine I don't think. We have three hookers in the first team squad now (AoB, Halafihi and Joe Lumb) and there are other players that can do spells at nine when Adam needs a rest.
Our options for a seven are pretty much over now after Gareth O' Brien went to Salford and Liam Finn went to Wakefield. I cannot think of any other scrum halves that we could realistically have a chance of signing.
I wouldn't want Barlow either. He looks out of shape and I also think the guy is a few sandwiches short of a picnic

Personally I'd take Barlow if he is available tough, uncompromising and one of them players who you love if on your side but hate if he's against you!

| Bit lardy but has plenty of mongrel. Don't like his habit of goading opposition players but his commitment is never in question.
He divides my opinion alright.

| Agree with that Bullseye!
He's nowhere near my idea of a nice person and can be penalty machine but, since he's never played for my team, I guess he wouldn't care a jot! That said, he can play a bit, IIRC he used to play second row/loose in his Fax days, is he down to propping now? Can't see any need otherwise.

| Barlow isn't my idea of the sort of signing we should be making. We need a Prop who can mix it with the SL clubs once the qualifiers come around. He's handy enough for the Championship league but then Crossley and Fleming are too.
And it seems we're pretty much nailed on to sign Mitch Clark from Donny anyway.

Played at loose forward for Leigh, but Paul Rowley uses that position as an extra 'grunt' man - i.e. prop, as you say. Rumour had it that Sam was/is devoting time to a career outside RL - a sensible plan, but causes problems in a full time environment.
Despite his disciplinary shortcomings, he has a superb offloading game, and I reckon we sorely missed him in the Qualifiers.

| Just stumbled upon a bit of transfer gossip while browsing the Hull forums - one poster on there seems to think their young winger Callum Lancaster could be on his way to us as a loan deal next season.
Not really a signing that currently makes much sense, but if we end up shipping out Uaisele and Ulugia then another winger wouldn't go amiss.

| Tahraoui released. no surprise really. Disappointing we didn't allow him to continue developing in the season as he looked decent. Kept improving and did big minutes for a big guy. Certainly better than Lauaki.
Suspect we'll see a couple of others released in next couple of weeks. Then allowing us to bring some new faces in.

| Poor decision but the writing was on the wall when he was loaned out to the Cougars. He was one of the unknowns who showed some good potential I thought. He could also play longer than 20 mins which is always helpful.

| Wonderful word is 'released'. It's a bit like, "hey Presto" or "Abracadabra", and there he was - gone!
I'm sure it's not quite so simple though; the bloke had a contract for another season, can anyone imagine he'd just walk away from it? They must have paid him up or come to 'an arrangement', of some kind - I'm pretty sure we can't have just walked away from it either.

Depends on the situation. I've always got the impression form Samir's twitter he has a real passion for personal fitness, maybe he wants to pursue a career in that.
Players like him won't be on a lot. He could easily be part time at Rochdale, have a career outside the sport, and earn more than what he was on at the Bulls. Look at Sheffield. Gone full time but a lot of players declined that option as they would have been earning less than what they were part time with a career.
