Couldn't agree more. I've been watching Bradford since the Northern days but have never really bothered with online forums. I started looking on this board in the off season and found it quite interesting regarding the transfer rumours. Since the seasons started I've got to admit that I'm very disappointed with how this board seems to operate.

It appears that the usually few members patrol the board, day in, day out, trying to find fault in every post and feel the need to condemn anyone who they don't agree with.

I suppose that this post will either be ignored or draw some kind of super intellectual put down. Well that's fine by me. Mock away. This is your board. I understand that now. For the record I don't rate Briggs. His last 2 performances have been the worst I've ever seen anyone play in a Bulls shirt, and that's going some. I hope he proves us wrong and makes it but on the evidence I've seen so far, I'm not convinced. There, thats my opinion. Do with it what you will.

Basically what we are saying is that their is a New World Order. The new generation are pushing through with our opinions and discussion's. The Old Guard is no more!

I must confess to being a little surprised by the recent outpouring of angst over this forum and its members.

I'm certainly not part of any old guard, having been a total lurker until a year ago, then posting reasonably regularly since then. I have to say that I don't agree with quite a few people's opinions on here, but I don't find the place oppressive or restrictive in any way.

Basically I ignore anyone that annoys me, and concentrate on the many interesting and erudite posters

I'm sure you're right Paul. However, unless someone is deliberately trolling, I expect someone to be able to add comment to a discussion without being lambasted or have their grammar ripped apart. It gets a little tiresome to read.

No mockery required. There is a world of difference between your fair and measured criticism of Briggs and the mean-spirited and bizarrely final stuff Eddie and Bullschamps have doled out to Briggs and Herbert.

Meh. Two schools of thought on this. I don't like those posts going unchallenged. You always have the option of ignoring threads, or indeed posters.

I'm not defending anyone for verbally attacking a player. My comments were about the board in general and some of its 'holier than thou' members.

I don't think there's a perfect poster on here. This place was happier and more harmonious when the Bulls were all-conquering, but it's still enjoyable to read in and amongst the handbags sessions.

I agree. But what though? If, for example, it were as simple as a disruptive player or players I'd expect Potter of all people to simply get rid of them whoever they were. So I don't think its that.

I suppose that, whatever the standard press articles may say, and for whatever reason, the group we'e got aren't 100% a team. Maybe they're not that far off - I don't know. Maybe some are but there are the odd bad apples that you could throw out, but I suspect not.

Instead I suggest it's probably more complicated, and hard enough to explain, but let me put it this way - the team of 5 or 10 years ago, I'd be happy to go to war with, if I was one of them, as they would all have my back, and I would know they would fight to the end. In 2011 I think I'd buy a tin hat. I'm not saying there is no team spirit, or a dressing room rift, or anything as extreme as that, but perhaps the problem is that the players as a group aren't fully committed to 'all for one' etc. and ATEOTD are not ready to die for the cause, whatever they may protest.

I remember Peter Fox's motley assemblies of ageing rejects etc. They often had a siege mentality and were fiercely committed to each other and this made them so hard to beat, even where on paper the other team man for man had many superior players. Maybe that's the missing ingredient.

Anyway that was off topic as that was a reminder to talk about the topic not to say there opinion is rubbish as that was full blown argument.
