Others/MINOTAUR.JPG Crude and slow Whino, your attack was no better than that of a clumsy child.:Others/MINOTAUR.JPG |

| Both awful! Home one looks tacky and lop-sided and the away one is a horrible colour!!!
Whats wrong with having a traditional style shirt? either RAB hoops or v?
Looks like i'll be buying some sort of polo-shirt this time...

19829_1320257469.gif Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19829.gif |

| I like them both. Noth 100% sure about assymetric design on home but these things tend to be growers. Probably buying both seeing as we saved so much on season tickets compared to last year.

I agree completely re the home one.
1. It looks like it's been 'inspired' by that England RU shirt of a couple of years back. Or at best by a horses tail.
2. This was an opportunity to sell more shirts this year with the increased footfall - not the time for a marmite type effort.
3. Why are we fighting the traditional piece when it's what the fans want? I'm being a bit presumptuous on this but generally I get the impression that people would rather a V or hoops. Saints, Wigan, Hull, etc manage it every year while keeping things fresh, why can't we? Save the alternative efforts for the away shirt.
First wrong step by the club in the off season for me.

I like the price though - £39.99

| Home shirt...I like it, I want it. Will buy or ask Santa. Away shirt...see home shirt. Both very striking designs.
Traditional hoops and 'Vs' do nowt for me. Each to their own though.

29955.jpg If I'd have wanted glory I would have followed Man Utd.
Football is a game where men spend 90 minutes pretending to be in pain and Rugby League is a game where men spend 80 minutes pretending not to be in pain.

do we? havent actually seen any details of what we get with season ticket this year. just paid and forgot. Assumed it would just be the home games and 1st round off cup and we wouldnt get the shirt discount this year due to ticket being so cheap. absolute bargain if we get that too.

| Can people really not see why they don't go with the "traditional" hoops every time?
The same shirt every year means fans that are hard up just won't buy it. They'll take one look and say "well I have a shirt with hoops almost identical to that, just with a different collar sponsor" and not bother.
By having a different design each year, the people who want to look like they're wearing the latest shirt will buy it.
It doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
Yes we may all like the hoops and the tradition, but it doesn't make clever business sense. And considering the club don't have a nice wealthy backer, they need to make as much money on merchandise as they can.
I haven't seen the stats, but I somehow suspect that shirts like this will sell a lot more than those that look almost identical to the previous year's effort.

If I remember right, you get £5 worth of points on your Teamcard. Which can then be used to redeem against something in the shop. But I can't remember where I read that, or if I just imagined it.

is that different to last year then? as we didnt get £5 worth of pints on card for shirt discount. you just had to show your card to get discount Iirc. The £5 worth of points most people got were compensation for the cheap walkup price bulls did for wire game.

Yeah I think you're right.
To be honest, £5 on the teamcard is better. It means those who want it off the shirt can have that (so no difference for them) and those who don't want to buy the shirt, get £5 off something else instead.
