I have it on good authority that Leon is suffering from a variant of "Newlove Syndrome".

This affects the neck rather than the back and will only allow him to play for Bradford rather than St Helens, the exact opposite of the symptoms Paul Newlove suffered.

Not really, in that deal the Bulls got Dwyer, Loughlin and Nichol plus some cash (which to my mind, is the better part of the bargain). Of the current Bulls better players, who would you be prepared to lose in order to gain Pryce?

In your dreams! If Bulls want Pryce then the price will be high. If Saints read this board they'd get the impression that there's a sense of desparation and set the transfer fee appropriately.

I fully agree. However, message board or not, the odds are that the Bulls level of anxiety is likely to increase as time goes on, weakening the Bulls negotiating position. In short, if a deal isn't near done (which it might well be) then the war-chest better be deep!

or alternatively instead of paying a transfer fee now we let saints take the risk on leons fitness next year and pay his wage while he gets back to 100% fitness and then sign him on a free next year ( although we'd probably end up paying more wage wise doing it that way). At the end of the day we have players who can cover stand off to a decent level. A creative scrum half is much more important to us at the moment. We've got the pledges now. The trick is to keep them. A steady improvement next year followed by a marquee signing like Pryce to get people to stay on board is potentially a better long term strategy than going for a short term fix.

Leon Pryce would be the massive marquee signing that would really show the supporters who have pledged that we mean busisness and would most definitely continue the feel good factor that is most evident around the club at the minute.
