Completely agree semi finals can take a lot out of teams due to the intensity of the game and its even worse getting beat in a final. I'd rather go out in the first round than be beaten at Wembley tbh. There were other factors but it didn't do Huddersfield any favours in the league and it was all a bit pointless given nobody remembers a runner up (except opposition fans using it as ammunition to gloat, another reason its better getting knocked out earlier). The timing of the cup is such that any big injuries can impact on the playoffs. If you end up winning the cup of course these issues become pretty insignificant, in fact judging by the comments from Wire fans before the Wigan game you'd think they'd won the double last season, they must have thought it was by one get one free (as with their players it would appear  ). |

i didn't see us losing tonight. i thought it would be either next week v Hull or away at Cas the week after. But credit where credit is due, cracking 2nd half. Langley for me was MOM despite Orfords headlines. Him and Lockers are the best 13's in the comp for different reasons.
