Greg bird was sacked in disgrace by the sharks and managed to get an agreement that meant he wasn't"officially"banned in the nrl although if you read the FULL story whilst the club were debating his future gallop clearly stated the nrl would ban bird and back cronulla sacking him.
He effectivley has nowhere to go play other than here.
GH commented that if a player was unable to get a club down under for disciplinary reasons then he shouldn't be allowed over here also as that sends a wrong message that as a league we are happy to have these "bad un's" in our league when they can't play in the nrl.
Obviously because of who was involved this has turned into a bulls v rhinos scenario.

Without Bramley Leeds wouldn't even be a club. You need to learn your RL history. When Leeds were in financial trouble thats when Gawwy Hewwington decided to screw Bramley over and that was the end of them and consequently the start of Leeds' success. |
