Although the RFL board are not expected to make a decision on new owners until the end of this week at the earliest, it is hoped a scheduled friendly fixture at Batley Bulldogs on Sunday could still go ahead.Batley chief executive Paul Harrison said they have also offered to help Bradford players whose wages were not paid last month.“There’s a lot of stuff to sort out, but if we can play them we will and we’re just waiting to find out,” he said. “We should know from the RFL by Tuesday lunchtime. We said we’d share the gate with their players – the ones who are getting the harsh end of the stick – and we’re quite happy to do that direct so it is nothing to do with the club.”

Great stuff from Batley, and they were hoping no know by lunchtime today, so I've temporally switched to waiting for this game announcement rather than an owner announcement.....ah, the change feels good.

If you're going to change 1865 to 1999 then you need to drop the sentence in parentheses at the end. 1865 it is.

If the game goes ahead with any form of Bradford team or Bradford select, I will certainly be there. Those players that have been through all this crap deserve a bit of support I think.

It'll be interesting to see for sure. I originally hadn't planned on going to this when it was announced but I damn well will be now, its almost unreal to think I might be able to watch some rugby involving Bradford rather than just worry about its very existence!
