Ross has done a good job of burying the inforation that not all players were paid yesterday, right at the bottom of hundreds of column inches about Pryce, Rohans comments about the refereeeing and how two refs (two bad refs???) would improve matters, but totally relevant, that refs need to stamp their authority right from the start, then couple of lines about it, that some paid some still waiting. so a big improvement on last month.

If rumours are right and certain players are refusing to be available, maybe it is them who haven`t been paid!!!

If that’s the case I’d be studying the fine print of the contract. I’d be pretty unhappy about paying someone in those circumstances.

I'm surprised the same people who constantly criticise him for being negative aren't now on his back for not making a bigger deal out of the negative of some players not being paid.

I wouldn't do that job. I wouldn't be able to resist telling the wuckfits on forums and social media where to go, in nice colourful language.

Sheffield Away - we were leaning on the Bulls dugout for that game... Very interesting to observe the body language at close quarters and overhear conversations.

Without doubt - for me - there were some players on the touchline who showed enthusiasm, passion and commitment to the team, constantly shouting encouragement and hopping up and down with involvement.

Two looked liked they couldn't give a toss - on the field and in the dugout.

I said at the time - Gaskell won't play again this season - (not really knowing for sure) - but thats what his face and body language said...

Other was Clough - unfortunately.

Neither of them hardly bothered to watch their team mates while off the pitch.

Ross is a professional journalist and we [as buyers of the T&A] are his customers. It's usually best to be a little more circumspect when talking to customers - even if they're know nothing half-wits who don't know one end of the whistle to another.

Absolutely. And he holds back very well from what I've seen. I personally couldn't ignore the comments and outright abuse he gets, which is why I couldn't do the job!

I don't buy the T&A. I just try to defeat its adblocker blocker detection which is shiit, I wish some kindly and brilliant guru like vbfg would explain a way to stop that big fckoff blue banner from popping up over the page despite me having switched ABP off for that site.

I have the same. But I won't turn my Ad Blocker off until they get rid of the massive ton of adverts they have on the site that cause it to load so badly it makes me just navigate away from the page before I've actually read anything.

They pile adverts onto the site to make it load badly, but then moan when people block those adverts so they can actually read the site.

I too get irritated by the bloody ads. This site can be a pain for that occasionally when viewing on my phone but the T&A one is worse.

The T&A is far worse, they even go to the extent of sound commercials which turn on your sound back on if you turn it off!

Please, no one tell them, but I've worked round that by turning my speakers off at the power switch - I'm sure they'll send a guy round to, "tut tut" over my shoulder and switch them back on again..

Very site specific I would think, and I haven't really tried. Sometimes it's cookie based and you can defeat it with a standard browser in incognito mode, especially if it's like a "five free pages a month or pay for full access" deal.

I would not be surprised to learn that there are Tampermonkey scripts to do it for the bigger sites. Be careful with that though. It's a method for a program to run inside your browser and it modifies pages. Obvious scope for abuse there. But it's useful if there's a web page that does just about everything you want apart from this one thing. If that one thing was annoying enough to the right person they might have fixed it. So for instance if you order takeaways online it's not in their interests to have the local authority health and cleanliness ratings there. But there is a Tampermonkey script that will download that data from another source whilst you're looking at say Just Eat, and it will modify the page and display it next to each take away. Sort by popularity and you find out low quality mystery meat sold out of a bucket is actually what the people want.

Newsquest are slowly killing pretty much every local newspaper in the country so they might be a big enough target for someone to put the effort in. I'll have a proper look later when I have a bit more time.

Just don't let them pull you in with their sob stories. Adverts from reputable sources (which means the companies these people use for their advertising, not necessarily the sites themselves) are the biggest attack vectors for ransomware around, and you don't want that nasty stuff on you. Never run without an ad-blocker.

I don't find it too obtrusive on the T&A. There are others that block the whole screen out. They're already dead to me.
