Great, our first conspiracy theory looks like being a completely anal probe into whether full time contracts is really a da Vinci Code-esque hidden some other thing that actually means "not full time".

Andrew Chalmers and Graham Lowe have confirmed that they are the new
owners of the professional Rugby League club created in Bradford.

The new owners arrived late yesterday from New Zealand and immediately met a 25
strong playing group, interim management and coaching staff.

Speaking about the creation of the new club, Andrew Chalmers, said stage the RFL
have provided us with the detail and scrutiny that we expected for such an important
decision."

In addressing the players and coaching staff on Monday, Graham Lowe, said: “We
do not see this as a quick fix and we will work through the immediate issue of
offering full-time playing contracts to the team. This is expected to be accomplished
in the next 48 hours and following that we will look at bolstering the playing squad as
necessary to replace those players who have secured contracts elsewhere."

Chalmers added, “We are both really excited about the strength of the high
performance academy and the long term pathway opportunities that flow from this.
We understand that this is a frustrating time for fans who want to know what is
happening but I can assure you that we are working long hours with all interested
parties to cover a lot of ground. We are aware of the hunger for information and we
will update our position on a daily basis as and when we are able.

“A lot of work is required in a short space of time and we anticipate a lot of exciting
announcements to follow in the coming days and weeks.”

I think you understand the point perfectly well. You can call it what u like, there he been enough smoke and mirrors to mystify penn and bloody teller.

They may want them to train full time and offer contracts but ultimately money is the key here. Do they have it and what's the plan. I think that's the only information they really need to settle everyone down. The rest would fall into place.

Ok, actual news. Progress at last. It's not everything I wanted to hear but it's still a damn sight better than some of the alternatives we could have had today. Noone will be optimistic until we start to see the detail.

We have some certainty at last and we seemingly once again exist as a club.

So far, that's all can be said, and it's not much, just a lot better than the alternative.

I'm under no illusion that the coming weeks and months will be anything less than grim, though.

I'm hanging on to the thought, WHY DID CHA-LO GET INVOLVED? Lowe is Lowe, and as ex-NZ RL chair etc., you can't imagine either of them having an appetite to fund an also-ran little northern England skint operation. I can't think of many explanations that make sense if they don't include major ambitions for the Bulls, because if they haven't, then I am at a loss to explain what they are doing here.
