The worrying thing for the Bulls (if they do go into Admin) is that the feeling of much of the contributors on these pages is ..... meh.

And there's the problem . There will be no enthusiasm again for £100 donations as they did the first time. The league give us about £60k a month from funding but our monthly bill is over £200k. if we can't afford July then it is a very long time till March when the games start again - 8 months or about £1.5m to find as we will only get about £25k per month after finishing 5th. These figures are estimates but it does show that we need a lot of cash and no games of any financial quality before next summer.

Anyone read the official history of the club by Nigel Williams? It came out in 1989. It charts the ups and down of Bradford (Northern) from 1863 until 1988/89. The demise of the club in the late 50s up to 1963 makes for familiar reading now. Whether we'll get down to 300 speccies at a game before going pop remains to be seen.

I've often considered writing the history from 1989 onward. Is Nigel Williams still around?

I haven't read that, but I have also considered writing something about our fall from grace from 2005-now, trying to dig out the who, where and why - maybe giving it a few years "breathing room" so the main players in it all might be more willing to speak. They say everyone has a book in them, if I ever do, it's probably that one.

Make sure you have a good lawyer look over it before publication!

Funnily enough you'd need to interview all the main protagonists. I can only wonder how eager they'd be to take part. I suspect Caisley would give his two-penneth, Khan too. Of the others like Hood and Whitcu*t who knows.

It could form the basis of a Hollywood blockbuster - but that's another thread I think. Mark Gatiss for Caisley?
