| Me too.
As for any who leave, well good luck to them - you can't ask more than they see out their contract. Whoever leaves we have the money to spend on new signings so, much as there are certainly a few I'd prefer to retain, it's basically qué sera sera, for me.

To be fair, I was thinking mainly about the ones we don't really want to lose, but in truth, the same applies to all. All those blokes signed in good faith and I'm sure they would have much preferred to play.

Well to be strictly accurate, he says they want to stay with the club not that they have signed.

| Well that's good to hear. Hopefully there's a few other players who feel the same and the club will move to sign them up too

| Pleased to see Clare wants to stay at the club. At the moment, I still feel he's a better winger than FB but with a bit more work on his positioning he might be a decent FB longer term. He certainly has plenty of pace and he looks to be enjoying himself at the moment and is doing a good job filling the FB role for us. I'd probably prefer to see somebody there with a bit more ball skills though as well as the running threat.

Would agree with that BB, though most of those with 'ball skills' are being pushed into halfback at the moment, which I guess is understandable.
Clare looks the player who is most assured at the back and as you say is a running threat, so I'd have him as my no.1. That said, we do still have at least one player who was signed as a fullback who I don't think has had a game there yet.

Not sure, I think Clare is making the FB spot his own. He's safe as houses under high ball, very good defensively, and his running game is a threat. He's definitely improving coming into the line and his running his putting players on the back door. He's very good at drawing the man in too. Passing he still needs to work on, but for me he is becomin an excellent FB. He's one of our most dangerous players in attack and I want to see him with as much ball as possible.
Either way, it's a brilliant re-signing.

| I like Clare, I think he is definatley a medium term option at Full Back until one of these highly appraised youngsters matures enough for a full season. I don't think there are to many better candidates for winger than Williams and Caro, certainly not going to find more pace around and available. Ethan Ryan is ready to put pressure on them and Purtell can always fill in there if needed.
Really hope we can hang on to Gaskell, Clough and Addy because when fit they are the first names on the sheet for me, Addy at 13 so he can utilise his running game, it really is high quality, look how he charged through the Leigh defence last week. Rest of the pack pretty much picks its self but I think we need to sign up Pitts, Ferguson and Olbison as well.
As for Scrum Half, I think Oscar Thomas could be the man. With the right input and direction from Smith I feel he could develop into a very good player in the next few years. Just depends how patient we are with him.
Only position I think we need is another centre to play with Williams. Not sure Blythe has got it, although he did play well last week. Purtell maybe, but Id prefer to see somebody with some pace. I think Purts is perfect for a interchange role due to his versatility and leadership. Looks like that Ulugia is playing well, can we get him back?

| Looks like Clare has said a bit too much to the T&A as Ross is currently backtracking on social media.
I guess it's just the club 'managing' the media!

He's doing well there at the moment, I just think he needs to work on his positioning in that role. We have a couple more months before we potentially face SL sides and he will need to brush up on that side of his game by then.
Wonder if we'll have any news on the elusive halfback this week... probably not!

| Are we sure that halfback wasn't Drinkwater?
Not exactly sure of the timeline of events but I think it's certainly a possibility that Steve Ferres was hoping to announce the Drinkwater signing within a few weeks of making that comment.
