| If anyone craves attention on the internet, go and look what Omar has changed his twitter bio to.
He may be the man who saved the bulls from the brink, but what he does next is going to be even more pivotal to the future of the club

| Would the RFL simply use it as a way or reducing the league by one?
They could but it would mean a reduction in games and teams getting a bye
Would each team continue to get the £60k of ours if we are not there? If they don’t, they may have budgeted for it.
I'd imagine they would get more, they would get the rest of the Bradford share (the other £500k) probably to make up for the lack of a home game.
Teams would miss out on a decent away following at their lost home games with us – on top of no away support from London and Catalan.
Outside of Leeds and Yorkshire not sure how significant the away support would be, but the home game would be a loss. Hence why if it happened I'd imagine the rest of the SL cash would need to be spread out.
It was stated that Leeds would lose about £100k by not playing us at Headingly and a championship team came in – they wouldn’t get 18,000 gate with a championship team? Add the £60k and Leeds lose about £160k if we don’t start – the wages of two of their players?
I think if Bradford left the SL no other team would come in at this late stage.
If a new team came in would they also get the £60k or would it be stopped for all?
I doubt a new team could take Bradfords place at this stage.
If we didn’t start and weren’t replaced would supporters want a refund on their season tickets at other clubs as there is one less home game? If Leeds dropped out would I want a refund for that missing home game – I am sure some would!
I think most season tickets offer 2 or 3 free games so I doubt many would refund.
When you look at these types of questions it is clear that the RFL are in a potential mess if we drop out before the start as a replacement would not be ready to take our spot.
I would prefer Bradford to stay in some form, but if they left it would not be a killer blow.

Which incidentaly was an absolute godsend in helping to save the Bulls in 2012. All at Bullbuilder at the time deserved our thanks for the efforts, which is why I say they are still Stakeholders in many peoples eyes.'"

Interesting interview with the chairman of Portsmouth FC's community trust. Including the joys of being spat at

| What annoys me is anyone from anywhere posting stupid unresearched kneejerk trite opinions that simplify a very complex situation. And simply repeat what we already know, so not taking the debate any further.
For example, the Pledge season ticket prices. The low price of course was the headline. Lets look at it further. they would be that price only if a certain number of pledge were received ie low price x high volume = right amount of money. BUT there were also a number of other initiatives iirc at the same time, lifetime season tickets for a large lump of cash, half a lifetime season tickets for slightly more than half a lump of cash etc etc, I remember a big debate about who had and hadnt received personal invites from Peter Hood to sell their houses and live at Odsal for ever. So it wasnt just a simple drop the prices and hope, there was a trigger without which it did not make business sense. but most recent posts from offcumdens ignore this, probably because the posters are ignorant of the full details.
hindsight is truly 100% accurate. I did not support the Hood fund raiser because I felt it was the wrong thing to do. My analysis, which appeared a long time ago and anyone keen enough can find it in my previous posts complete with graphs etc etc, shows that the economic social and cultural trends are all adverse to support for the Bulls. So the only way was to escape the Odsal black hole with a complete new start Which brings me to a final point raised iirc by Herr Rigby. Amateur RL will survive, but looking at the recent academy and u16 England squads, I dont recall anyone from a local Bradford amateur club in the 71 names, which is another real worry for both Bradford amateur RL and the Bulls, the two feed each other, but perhaps yet another adverse trend that those wanting to own and run the club need to be aware of.

| In all of this inglorious shambles, lets not forget there are a load of real people - players and staff - who have probably had a sheite Christmas worrying about what the HELL is going on?
Folk with families, mortgages, bills to pay...same as you and me.
If we the supporters don't deserve any of this, THEY sure as hell don't. It's their livelihoods folk are playing with. And its a total crock of sheite. Makes me SO bloody angry.
I first got involved in engaging with the club on 31/12/99, when I made a post on the old Bulls message board "A New Year's Plea" aimed at Caisley, Sadler, the wider RL community and Bulls fans generally. That triggered a response from the Duffster, and started all sorts. I remember it well...sat in the office on New Years Day 2000 ringing the Duffster in response to his email. That seems so long ago now, and a time when Sadler was saying the Bulls were "Unbeatable".
Now, 14 years down the line, I make another New Year's plea: can we PLEASE have some people owning the club who we, the supporters, can respect and get behind? Who share our aspirations to see this club firstly survive, and then become great again? Not the total fekking laughing stock of the game it has become.
Please, Bradford. Please, those with money in Bradford. This city has little enough to shout about right now. A top-flight RL team brings far more to the city and the district than the relatively modest amount it costs. Help to save this club. It will surely help save this city too. You know you want to.

| I can't see any sensible outsider with a bit of cash being prepared to touch the Bulls with a bargepole at the moment. At least not until the wrangles between the recent owners have been resolved. What would you be buying? What liabilities would you take on? Just how big a loss in 2014 would you have to finance?
Unfortunately I can only see things getting worse before they get better.

| There's going to be no 'nice' way out of this unfortunately.
My prediction:
1. Mr K will announce himself as sole director & chairman
2. He will employ a very good full-time bookkeeper to work with the CEO. Apart from part time and volunteer people, that will be it for admin staff.
3. The big one: he will make all the players redundant. They will then be free agents. But they will then immediately be offered re-employment on say 50% of current salaries with the option of going onto part time terms if they get a day job elsewhere.
It would be a big gamble, but the only way the owner will have a hope of getting loans repaid to him will be to drastically cut costs AND aim to stay in SL for 2015 by aiming to scrape a third from bottom place in 2014.
Not saying it will work but think that will be the next development.

Who are these clubs please? I've tried using the barla website but it's next to useless.

| Staff expected to be paid today after a delay in payment before Xmas. Might explain the cryptic tweets perhaps from a few days ago? Also a showdown meeting today between Sutcliffe, Khan, Watt, RHP, RFL and the chairman of Safeguard Security. Whitcut apparently negotiated the 180k loan with Safeguard secured against the Bulls assets shortly before his departure. According to todays League Express.

| Latest edition of RL Express states there's a crunch meeting today with all parties or their representatives. Some details given of the nature and amounts of sale price / loans involved-- much more detail than T &A has ever revealed. For example Safeguard involved as RW secured a 180k loan secured on Bulls. Is anyone able to post a link?

You don't just make players with contracts redundant though, you pay them out of their contracts and then the value of those contracts count against the cap for each year the contract had to run. Unless that has changed since this was gone over ad nauseum during the Pledge?
