After three straight defeats, we’re finally back on track with a much-needed win. We scored some great tries and, with a bit more focus and composure, could have had plenty more. That said, the amount of points we conceded is a bit of a concern, especially against a poor Featherstone side.



Still, a win’s a win, and it’s always satisfying to get one over this lot. Plenty to work on, but hopefully, this is the start of some momentum heading into the next few games.

Would happily have him back.

Nice to see us play rugby where we string more than two passes together.  Playing on a dry track on a proper sized field seems to suit us far more than playing on a postage stamp sized mud heap against a team prepared to slow down the ruck and rile up our dafter players.  Can I swap my season ticket for one that just covers away games?


For once we didn't miss Scurr.  Fev lacked any punch up the middle so we controlled things there and there was no niggle so we didn't get sucked into the usual rubbish.  The ref was decent - he'll be in SL before long - (miles better than Mikolauskas). As said above we could've had more with a bit of composure.  Pele and Michael should have held on after making breaks instead of throwing the ball away.    Fev's right edge defence was woeful and Gill and Armitage had a field day.    Thought Meadows had a great game for us apart from the sin bin - not sure what he was complaining about after his kick ended up as a Fev try.  Lilley diving out of dummy half was impressive.    Okunbor defended well on our right side.    Fev got a few tries but at least one was a bit fortuitous with the bounce of the ball but both teams had that.  


Overall much better.  We just need to use this as a benchmark and work out how to be effective at Odsal.  

Just watching the highlights. But the featherstone one. What a breath of fresh air to hear someone actually talk about whats happening on the pitch. And actually commentating rather than trying to say dumb nonsensical phrases. 


Also wecplayed somexgood rubgy still a lot of dumb errors thought. Forward passes or passing into feath players. A good restart to build on 

Mick does tend to overdo the hyperbole but you need to inject some enthusiasm into commentary otherwise you'll send people to sleep.   Jonathan Davies might talk sense but the delivery can be "very pooor".  


Thought we saw for the first time in a Bradford jerey what Guy Armitage is capable of versus Fev.  He was a big handful and really got involved.  

He needs to stop commentating as a fan I had to turn the sound off it became inane rambling at times sentences rolled into each other.

He needs to take a leaf out of Richie Benaud's book.   If you can't add anything to what viewers can see then keep quiet.

Micky G has the same passion as David Doyle Davis did when he was commentating and he would query a Refs decision epsecially when went agin Hull!

But his commentary is primarily for radio (Mixlr) listeners. We cannot see what's happening!

Yeah I'm not a fan of micks commentary. I think he forgets that those listening on the radio can't see whats going on. He's usually rambling on about something that happened in 1994, before deciding to tell the person listening thay we're 5 tackles in the set and made 40 metres. 


Or let's say we've gone for a try, knocked on and the opposition have a 20 metres restart, instead of quickly explaining whats happened we get "gillls gone for the trrrryyyyyyy (crowd groans so we know it's probably not a try) . He's over the linnnnnnneeee. Has he got the ball dooooowwnnnnn. The referee has a loooookkkk. Ooooohhhh. He's saying he's knocked on. 


By the time he's told us whats happening the opposition are nearly at the end of their set.
