I wouldnt read too much into comments on t&a board. It does tend to attract the extreme views. One numpty on there earlier said we had to go out and sign a half as we dont have any on the books. Totally overlooking the 2 who are injured and southernwood who isnt quite ready for SL yet.

Including friendlies, we have played 3 SL teams. I think we have a lot of improvement to come- but that goes for most teams. I am sure we are going to finish behind Wigan and ahead of Wakey in the table. Are we going to be within touching distance of Leeds though?

I agree mate.
What we need to understand is that by having two tough opening two fixtures (the toughest start to the season for any of the Super League clubs), a win in either would have been a bonus given the team and the fact that we have so many new faces this year - 11 in total.
Now we've got Leeds and Wigan out of the way it's time to kick on with some IMO winnable fixtures coming up - Crusaders (A), Wakefield (H), Huddersfield (A), Castleford (H) to keep the confidence going of not only the side but the supporters.
We can win at Wrexham on Saturday but I wouldn't play Sykes at stand off.

I whole heartedly agree on both points, hopefully Herbert will be fit with Kearney playing as an out and out 6 and I'd try Royston at loose imo

It did appear that Royston was wasted as such at full back at on Sunday.
If Herbert hasn't recovered for Saturday what would everyone say is the best way to cover the six and seven spots?

| Kearney has to play as and out and out 6 or push Ah Van into 6 and start L'Estrange into 7 and start Diskin at 9

| I'm still wondering why Addy didn't make the 17 yesterday? Given our lack of options, and his versatility - he can play at half back or loose forward, I was amazed he didn't at least make the bench.
For me, he would be at the very least on the bench for the Crusaders match

Well Potter said he would be picking players based on on-field performance. There were a few players against Wigan who shouldn't be confident of making the team against Crusaders

I'm trying to get my head around at just how poor Sibbit has been in the last two games?
He had a great pre-season.

| Another area I think where we could improve is the silly head high tackles that in the last two games have led (from the resulting opposition penalty) to three tries.

| If Potter will pick players on form and drop underperformers then hopefully we'll look something like this:
Royston
Raynor
Walker
Platt
Ah Van
Kearney
Herbert
Lynch
L'Estrange
Scruton
Whitehead
Elima
Addy
Diskin
Hargreaves
Crossley
Sykes (I know he played poorly, but when Elima or Elliott need a rest i'd shift walker into second row and Sykes to centre)
Don't think Koppy or Sibbit should be in on saturday after the last game. Sibbit hasn't shown us any of the things he did in pre-season. I'll give him more time though - the whole team played badly on sunday.

1. The whole team did not play badly - the pack ran the ball in one out with little or no guidance - why don't you try running at a well marshalled defence with strong wrestling?
2. I agree with dropping Sibbitt but why say you're giving him more time if you're advocating his dropping?
3. Koppy ran well - see point 1. for why its hard to run through gaps when you don't have halfs that take pressure off. He is a much better option than Crossley - why not give him some of your generous time?

| Did Koppy run well? I don't recall him breaking any tackles. He was hardly on the field in comparison with the other props.
