Yep I'd agree with that. Not often a referee comes out and admits he was wrong, so credit to him for it.

It's the other one that still deserves abuse for actually breaking rules (rather than just making a mistake) and not coming out and saying anything. IMO he needed to apologise more than Ganson! Even then though, it's been over 3 years, I think that's enough to let it die now.

Regardless though, I am surprised they've done this. Purely because it's putting extra pressure on Ganson on his first big game back and because it almost makes him the centre of attention instead of the game itself. Perhaps it's just another way to drum up talking points in the build up though?

what he did with stains last sesaon is irrelevent. We've already seen the improvement in our defense in the pre-season games. Early days still but a promising start so far.
