Oscar Thomas must be really happy at the career choice he made, no worse than lots of others last week, but he gets dropped! On the positive side, no automatic return for Mathers, which I half expected.

Says in the e-mail that Thomas picked up a knock.

Email says OT has a knock - not sure how true that is - but it's concerning that the defence imploded spectacularly without Mathers. He may be a lot of things but he's no mug when it comes to organising the defence.

Hope they all have their big boy pants on this weekend.

Well Caro and Campbell were atrocious in defence last week.

I put that down to Mathers wanting to avoid having to do any tackling himself.

At the time of the Green coup Ferres was recommended by the RFL and it didn't seem prudent at the time to sack Odsal favourite RHP. In effect he has simply been isolated.

People do forget that Robbie got his qualifications in sports marketing which he apparently did well at Huds. That is what he does at Odsal and can anyone show he isn't doing his job. Steve is the one that finds and signs players. Jimmy coaches them.
It is easy in these times to simply throw muck and see who it sticks on. For me there are two main people who must carry the can for the way we are playing.......Steve and Jimmy.

Given the size of the squad which includes an number of players who could get deals with SL clubs that has been assembled, then I think Ferres deserves credit. That this squad cannot be forged into a strong contender for promotion is purely down to coaching.

However, Ferres does nothing to help his case by coming out with drivel about how we're underdogs going into tomorrows game, however, if by some miracle we do lose then that has to be Lowes' job.

With all the experience from a playing side and added with his sports marketing degree you would have to wonder why Ferres was brought on board.
