No. No, they're really not. The implication (I presume) is this weird 'behind the scenes thing' that we can't talk about but I call bollox, because to even dream of playing in SL, you need SL players. We in comparison will be part-time number-maker-uppers next year, and we haven't got ten bob let alone a coup of million to suddenly buy up a whole new SL squad, so any talk of SL now is to me truly delusional.
Blackpool apart, (and we still lost) anyone who's watched the last month of miserable 50 point floggings, and now the Dewsbury debacle, would laugh at the idea of us being in SL but in 2 years time we won't even have the best players that we currently do have to call on. We will have nothing.

I suppose there is the whole 'relocate a franchise' option that keeps getting mooted. This notion that we will suddenly have Widnes Vikings or Salford Red Devils 'become' Bradford Bulls - in other words, we inherit their entire squad.
I don't think it will happen for one minute, in fact I don't want it to. The whole idea of us either being bumped up to SL or even miraculously being reprieved of relegation from the Champ sounds utterly corrupt and I don't want to be part of it.

| Over the past few years and subsequent administrations, the advantages that the Bulls had over other clubs was the fantastic support and a very good youth system (incidentally mainly financed by supporters). Not the Bulls brand, the management, certainly not the team or our stadium. It now seems as though all our decent youth players have a season (or two if we're lucky) with us and then go to higher ranked teams with a less successful system. And now thanks to the ineptitude of the RFL and subsequent owners we are on the verge of losing that support, without which we don't have a club. I would stop watching RL if we went under as would a lot of Bulls fans I think, so that's more loss of support (about 4,000 fans or a Huddersfield home game) that the RL can not afford to lose. Thanks Nige and Ralph you will always be known in the future as great visionaries.

| It is not beyond the realms of possibility that within a couple of years the SL will contain London, Toulouse, Toronto and Catalans. How long will SL exist with the awat support generated by these teams? Like Bradford Bulls I can't help but think professional rugby league is done. All the administrators at Red Hall should hang their heads in shame.

Does this mean the rumour that he is coming on board is true?

As a Fax fan I won't go into meltdown if you survive - as long as the fat controller is somewhere else he can't come to Fax !! Not that we'd want him nor should you what's he ever done at Red Hall except boost canteen profits???
Also you guys survive on a technicality and big nige gets a cushy job in your board why bother going into meltdown lol that's probably what will happen anyway

| Can't see any meltdown taking place, unless it's extra cheese on Nige's burger. You are more than welcome to him, his visionary stance at Fax was that he called us the Blue Sox against most people's better thoughts.

Restructuring allowing for more clubs to be in the Super League / Championship structure. Due to more clubs, promotion still happens but no relegation. Meeting about potential restructure happening this month I believe.
I've not heard anything myself as I'm not "in the know", but that's what people keep hinting at. How true it is, is anyone's guess.
And how it links in with Nigel, I assume the suggestion is that he will take over the Bulls, which has been his plan all along, and he just had his pals Cha-Lo in to look after it for a year while he gets the restructure in place and then sacks off the RFL job.

| Not sure why Nigel would want to take over the Bulls job. He's on what, £300k a year. A nice easy job with no challenge whatsoever to his decisions. Clubs bend over backwards as soon as he flashes the cheque book at them to agree to a change to the sport, whether that be sponsorship, restructuring etc. When it all goes belly up, he's safe from criticism as the clubs as the ones who voted in the rule changes.
Why would he want to come to a poison chalice like us.

This is what I don't understand either.
All I can guess is that either:
a) He's just about to be ousted from the RFL in some sort of devious coup (some would say ' not before time')
or
b) He's part of some sort of grubby money-making scam involving selling off Odsal for vast profit.
Outside of those two options, I don't see why he would voluntarily give up his cushy and lucrative job-for-life at the RFL to get involved with something as toxic as the Bradford Bulls

Makes little sense to me either. But that's what I keep hearing people suggest is going to happen. I expect it to turn out to be cobblers if I'm honest.

| Agreed, sounds like utter nonsense to me.
Still, when it doesn't happen, those in the know can say that it all fell through at the last minute.

I can't see that slab of concrete being on anywhere near 300k a year. The prime minister only scrapes 150k
