| Excellent another year in SL, but 50% less TV money as for my personal opinion the RFL have blacked mailed us yet again The RFL are very happy with the way things are going with the club then spank us with less money, they cant get sponsor for SL so they get money from wherever and then support a team in London that struggles to have 1,200 supporters at a match.

That I think is the most important thing at this moment. Yes, the lack of Sky funding for the 2nd year running is disappointing and I hope that the money isn't just being thrown at other clubs and is actually being used to further the game.'"
Our licence [apart from sky money] is pretty much like everyone else's - it ends at the end of 2014.

That's not what was said.
Beer down to £2.50, lager to be charged at, "the same price as local pubs" and cider not mentioned at all, is what I recall.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Why is this?
The reason given is that we were to be docked one full year's sky money, but to, 'be fair', they decided to do it in two halves, which means we lost half last season and are losing the other half this season.
Like 99.9% of Bulls fans I never agreed with it anyway, and given that we were only given a one year licence last year, and therefore may never have been in SL next season, it showed a distinct lack of joined up thinking.

Oh well the official Bulls twitter (run by Stuart Duffy) posted this:
Following tonight's fans' forum, Omar Khan has agreed to reduce the price of beer, cider and larger by 50p to just £2.50 a pint. #COYB
So I was just going by that :/

I think the re-think may be a sensible decision to be honest - and as multiples of £2.50 are more likely to add up to a straight fiver or tenner it may help reduce change giving time and therefore queues. I guess the local pubs aren't going to be very happy at the club charging only "£2'50 for lager though..

| Yeah but they wouldn't be getting that money anyway would they if the fans are all in the ground and the bars shut an hour or two after the game?

I never buy beer in the ground so haven't a clue, but what are the opening hours now on matchday? I'd have guessed that bars in the Coral stand would be open later with the meals and that, but maybe the others close at the end of the game.

What have the local pubs got to do with what price the Bulls sell beer?
By the way, cheers for the heads up on the good news Bulls Boy 2011.

Pretty much what i was thinking. Its a free market. Doesnt really matter whether they like it or not. Cant see them being too happy about coral stand being open everyday either but same applies.

Well, they could start a price war I guess, which wouldn't really help either them or the club.
Local pubs running a happy hour and a half, at £2 per pint, before and after the game probably wouldn't kill their businesses [depending on their wholesale price, of course], but it might cause big drop for the club in its peak selling time.

| So on this basis, the local pubs and clubs can offer silly prices to affect the Bulls' trade, but the Bulls must keep to high prices such as not to affect anyone else's trade.
How does that work, then? Sounds a bit one-sided to me.

I'm getting a bit lost in that one, FA
It's a free market and they can charge what ever they think is best. Unless some new rules have come in...
Most businesses though, try to be competitive and don't necessarily try to undercut everyone else by a wide margin, as it only leads to retaliation and everyone's takings going down. 'Course, if you're feeling really confident....
