I am More in the camp that sky are kicking themselves and wish they had the game on. Believe it was dropped as sky didnt see it as a big game anymore.

Then theres going to most likely be 5000 @ £20 over the projected 16,000 crowd this evening. That's another £100,000. Plus whatever pledges and fund raising moneys come in during the day.

So, it seems like they can announce that we are either at the £500K or close enough to it to say that the deadline can stretch over the weekend with the reasonable assumption that it will swell to £500K by Tuesday morning.

All in all a fantastic effort. No idea where the next £500KL is coming from, but that's a question for later I guess...

We had £311,000 yesterday morning and with the auction etc I can't imagine the club will have had chance to count everything! Most tables had at least one box of cakes on and we had stalls selling things, the bar and raffle tickets! You are looking at, if it is right that the big lots were sold privately, the £30k covering just them and nothing else in the room. I would estimate the rest should have pulled in a minimum of £10k! Your looking at £350k without any pledges yesterday! I think those who didn't win bids yesterday will also pledge! I have every faith in the club to succeed after last night!

Pledge announcement tomorrow at 11:30am. So don't know what this can be. I'm still confident we can do this and I also think that if the total is up to 500K it's an extraordinary achievement considering the amount of time we've had to raise it. The one good thing to come out of this is the togetherness and the show of support for the club. I'm sure that businesses out there will want to align themselves with that support over the next few weeks and we'll secure the future of the club. Whatever the board looks like at the end of it.
