For the first time in memory there's not a player in there that makes me think HTF did he get picked? So praise to Macca. Though Bridge will never be big enough, nor quick enough, to be a world class centre. But he's the form GB centre. ANd he knows where the line is.

Quite - a form centre is not to be sniffed at.

re the earlier comments about Roby...(that he's good at super league standard but not at a higher standard)....I entirely agree with these but don't forget, we're playing France who, arguably, are just about the standard of an average super league side. So Roby would likely impress against them....but not against the Aussies.

And we are playing France, made up entirely of Catalans palyers. Bridge is very good at chasing the Dragons.

Bridge is also an acomplished goal kicker from the touchLINES. Wonder if he practices much from the whitewash.

I guess that backing up will depend on the amount of game time he gets plus any knocks which might get picked up. I don't think a game against the French is in any way as hard as an SL match. They have some decent players for sure but there are a good few quality gaps in their side as well. I suspect a strong opening twenty and then a stroll in the park to be honest.

Bridge is a fine player and deserves his chance imo. Though to be fair I still think of him in the halves than at centre. He's pulled himself round from when he was shown the door by the Bulls, so credit where credit is due, I say.

in general workload gets shared round a bit fairer in international matches rather than our method of scrute and lynch running their blood to water then begrudgingly being allowed 5 minutes i=on bench. Although that said macca is now the england although hopefully he'll pull that particular trick with morley and graham.
Would think theres a decent chance of scrutes at least being on bench for crusaders game tbh.
